Awesome Babish paella pan

This stainless steel pan is large, sturdy, great quality and works great! We still have to use it for paella but our rice was cooked perfectly with this fantastic skillet. It has a nice large size and sloping slides, good size handles that do not get too hot, heats pretty evenly despite the pan large size and is heavy enough to know it is good quality and sturdy but still manageable and easy to wash. This wonderful and super versatile skillet as can be used for several occasions and not just for paella or rice and also came with clear instructions and tips to take care of this Babish Pan so just follow them. For reference, we used 2 cups of rice that, after generously coating the pan with oil, was lightly fried beautifully without browning or sticking (first photo) and then added 4 cups of broth that were just under the handles screws so plenty of space left and after 15 mins the rice was uniformly and perfectly cooked, nothing sticked even after adding the vegetables on top (second photo) and leaving them on the stove off for 15 more mins. Awesome!

Too large

I would have kept this item except that it was much larger than expected and I realized I need a pan like this but with a lid.

Excellent option for everyday cooking!

Okay, so, as someone who loves cast iron, I know that sometimes you need something different. This paella pan is a great find. It's perfect for making a medium-sized paella, whether you're cooking indoors or out at the beach or park. It works with gas, electric, and even induction, which is pretty handy. It cooks really evenly, and if you know your way around a pan, you can even make fantastic al dente spaghetti with it. But, back to paella—I personally prefer using a gas or open flame, and this pan handled it beautifully. It heated up quickly and was great for both boiling liquids and sautéing vegetables. It doesn't come with a lid, but that's easily solved with some aluminum foil, which is what they use for authentic paella anyway. You can even pop it in the broiler for a few minutes to get that perfect buttery finish without damaging the pan. Cleaning it is super easy, it's got a good weight to it, and it's dishwasher safe. Plus, it's portable enough to take with you. It's also great for frying eggs or even making arepas if you need to!

Exceptional Quality and Versatility – Perfect for Paella and More!

I am absolutely thrilled with the Babish 13-Inch Tri-Ply Stainless Steel Paella Pan! The quality of this pan is outstanding, and it’s incredibly versatile. While it’s perfect for making paella, I’ve also used it for everything from skillets to griddles and frying pans, and it delivers fantastic results every time. The tri-ply construction ensures even heat distribution, which is essential for cooking dishes that require consistent heat. I also love that it’s induction-safe, making it a great addition to my kitchen setup. It’s easy to clean, and the sturdy design feels like it will last a lifetime. The 13-inch size is ideal for larger meals, and I appreciate the wide, flat surface that allows me to cook plenty of food at once. It’s also perfect for browning, searing, and sautéing, making it a truly all-around cooking tool.Overall, I’m giving the Babish 13-Inch Tri-Ply Stainless Steel Paella Pan a 5-star rating! It’s well-made, durable, and perfect for all kinds of cooking. Highly recommend this to anyone looking for a high-quality, versatile pan for their kitchen!

Cooking on 304 steel is like cooking on Cast Iron, but better

As a fan of cast iron I know there's certain things that simply cook better in steel or otherwise. This Paella pan is perfect for a medium sized paella, cooked either inside or at the beach or park. It's compatible with gas, electric, and even induction heating. It cooks very evenly, and if you know what you're doing you can end up with some amazing spaghetti cooked al dente with just the right amount of fat rolling through each strand. But back to the paella, not sure who is using induction heating here, but I prefer a gas or open flame. This thing stood the test beautifully, allowing me to bring liquids to a boil in no time but sauteeing the vegetables just right. It doesn't come with a cover, but that's why people make aluminum (authentic paella uses aluminum as a cover). Depending on your taste, it can be tossed in the broiler for a few minutes for that perfect buttery finish without damage the pan at all. Super easy to clean, it's got a pretty nice weight to it. Dishwasher safe, and portable enough to accompany your plates to the beach. Also great for frying eggs and dare I say make arepas if necessary.
