Great bacon storage solution with a small design flaw in the date tracker

This bacon keeper seems pretty solid. The seal is good, and the material quality is pretty decent. There is a rubber plug in the lid, (presumably to make it easy to break the seal and allow airflow if desired,) which came out in the dish water when I cleaned it by hand for first use. I would recommend removing that plug and securing it separately in a silverware basket when cleaning this product in the dishwasher so that it doesn’t get lost. It was easy to replace.My one complaint is with the date tracker on the lid. There are two plastic tabs that can be slid across two separate groups of numbers, one for the month and one for the day of expiration. When moved all the way to an extreme, there isn’t enough room on either end of the track that each tab slides in to allow the tab to be placed directly over the number at that end, so when selecting January 31 for example, the month tab ends up half way between 1 and 2, and the day tab between 30 and 31. It’s not a big deal, but could be confusing if you don’t know what you’re looking at. Also, when this project arrived at my house, one of the tabs had fallen off its track and was loose inside the package. It was only slightly harder to replace than the rubber plug described in the previous paragraph.If I could give this product 4.5 stars I would. I’m only slightly annoyed that the designers didn’t prototype this thing properly and fix the date tracker before mass production was started.

The seal seems to be ok. We have so much crammed into it right now we can’t close the pop up seal but the edge seal seems just fine. Holds a lot but not too tall to take up room. About the size that three containers of Hillshire Farms deli meat 16oz pkgs fit. Without their plastic red lid containers, just the bags of meat themselves.
