I'm really happy with this purchase. These spatulas are perfect for cake leveling. Having multiple sizes in one set is a game-changer because I can easily smooth both tall and short cakes. Very comfortable to hold and use!
I purchased these as suggested from Karolyn's cakes. I found that these came just as described in the post and i love that you can heat them up and use them warmed to help smooth your cake faster. I am still learning and practicing as smoothing cakes is difficult for me but keep practicing and you will see improvements. Having 3 different sizes really helps too as you can use them to smooth very tall cakes! These are especially great and helpful for beginners!
This is a nice set, I will warn that these are sharp – much sharper than any other bench scraper I have ever used. They do clean nicely and work very well. I like that they are stainless steel and hence very food safe. What I feel are the cons in this, I wish they were a little deeper from top to bottom. If you are using this as a transfer of vegetables after chopped from cutting board to pan, its short and will not will hold a lot. If you are using this to divide dough your hands end up in the dough as again, these are short height wise. One thing I also noticed, when I was scrubbing, the scrubby pad fibers were yanked out and stuck all along the blade edge. So there is a degree of roughness along the blade edge. All in all, this is a nice set though, they do the job and I love the long length of the largest one.
These are the best scrappers I have ever used for cake decorating! They are so sharp which is excellent for getting that perfectly straight bubble free buttercream look. They have made my job so much easier since I got them and I’m just so grateful! The quality is fantastic!
I bought these for 2 reasons. I wanted something that was all stainless steel. I wanted one 10 inches long.These fit the bill. They are a little shorter, but for my needs they are fine.I wanted the 10 inch one for cutting fettuccine noodles out of dough.I am very happy.
