This is very well made and they do stay together but you need to match the magnets up by trial and error. I put a number on the back to line them up easier. I bought 3, one for each daughter-in-law. Might get one for myself.
Loved this item it was smaller than I anticipated but I liked it. The wood is sealed so you don't have to worry about the food penetrating the wood pieces.
The set fits together in so many ways and was exactly what the recipient wanted. Each piece is made of 3 layers of wood that are fitted and nicely sanded with smooth edges. It engraved beautifully as shown in the pictures. My only complaint would be that the magnets are not inset as nicely as I would hope and a couple are not precisely placed.
This set is fabulous if you are someone who likes to do a lot of charcuterie boards. I am and decided to make the purchase and love the boards themselves. The only thing that would make this product better is if it shipped in a box or a container it could be stored in.
