Almost perfect

I absolutely love this knife block. It does have one small hang up, and I’ll get to that. It is well made and seems sturdy enough to last a long time. I got it because I don’t like having a block for knives on the counter and I was just storing my cooking knives loose in a drawer. This particular knife block fits well in a standard drawer with some additional room for other items on the side. I really like that it allows you to place knives back is different places (i.e. small and large knives fit in anywhere and don’t have a specific spot they MUST go in). I have been using it for all size knives, including multiple full-size chef knives, small pairing knives, and all sizes in-between. I currently have nine knives in it, but that is a bit crowded. I would say it’s best for around six knives of varying sizes. I did say there is one hang up, and I don’t really know how it will affect my knives long-term. There is a solid metal bar that is hidden within the cork block that the longer knives end up resting on when they are being stored. I don’t know if this will dull my knives or damage the blades over a long period of time. I’ve been using for quite a while and have not noticed anything yet, but it is a worry in the back of my mind. Overall, I’m very happy with the design of this knife block and would recommend.
