Easy slide
Works well for its intended use. KitchenAid mixers are heavy and this tray works great for moving this from underneath the cupboards to a usable space. Moves smoothly and easily with minimal effort. The bamboo is attractive and has smooth edges and has been easy to clean. Like others I did accidentally order a tray too small for my mixer but luckily my spouse is handy and was able to router the tray to get my mixer to fit, but would recommend just ordering the correct one. While mixing, unless I am at the top mixing speeds, the tray stays stationary. If I am at the top two mixing speeds the tray wobbles a bit. Overall this tray has made it easier to access my mixer and looks good doing it.

This is a beautifully made bamboo piece to put under your kitchen aid stand mixer. It is high quality and beautifully finished but doesn’t exactly fit underneath, I have an Artisan style from the 1990s. I’m not sure if the base size has slightly enlarged over the years and maybe it fits current models perfectly? I love that it literally elevates the mixer and gives it a finished look, but it doesn’t seem right to have gaps on either side 🙄

This item is advertised as a sliding stand for Kitchenaid mixers, but I have found that it is useful for a number of other kitchen appliances like coffee makers, juicers and grain mills. As long as the footprint is small enough, it will work. This board is nicely crafted from natural wood. It seems durable and it is easy to clean. It's lightweight without feeling cheap. It fits nicely tucked into the corner of my very small counter and is easy to slide in and out as needed. Overall, a great little accessory for compact kitchens at a good price. Highly recommend!

Don’t be like me--carefully read the item description and select the bamboo mat that best fits your kitchenaid mixer! I figured there couldn’t be that much of a difference between base sizes and got this slider mat for my favorite 5 Qt. lifting mixer. My assumption, as you can see, proved to be my downfall. The base of the larger capacity mixers are significantly wider than their smaller, tilting head counterparts.Since it doesn’t work for my mixer, I tried it on my mom’s mixer before writing this review. I was pleasantly surprised with the function and overall look of the machine & bamboo mat pairing. Its appearance adds a certain panache to the overall look of the bulky countertop appliance. The solid bamboo is well made and solidly constructed-in its lifetime, it’s highly unlikely that it will succumb to warping or falling apart.

Simple upgrade - easier!
Until I bought this bamboo mixer glide mat, I never imagined that such a small accessory could make such a significant difference in my kitchen experience. Does not fit 4.5-5qt tilt head mixer as described.
In the title and in the description it states this sliding mat is compatible with the 4.5-5qt tilt head mixers. I have a 5qt KitchenAid Artisan tilt head mixer, and this mat is not compatible with it. The base of the mixer is too wide, so it will sit on the edges of the mat, which will make it extremely unstable because the rubber feet on the mixer are not making solid contact with the surface of the mat. Below the price is a category for size that states “for 3.5 Qt Tilt Head Mixer” which appears to be correct based on the mat I received. The seller needs to update the title and the description for this item. The mat itself is nice quality, and it does slide very easily, but only purchase this mat if you have a 3.5qt tilt head mixer.
