Knife sharpeners make this a winner

Looked extensively for the right knife holder and read a ton of reviews...and finally came across this one. Love having two tiers. I use the top level for scissors and larger knives, and the lower tier for smaller knives I reach for frequently. Best of all is having two types of knife sharpeners attached to the holder. SOOO convenient and now I sharpen them quickly before returning to the holder. I have a flat oak and cork knife holder which stayed in a drawer because it took up too much counter space. This is discreet and functions well. Love the size, two tiers, and the sharpeners. You won't regret purchasing this. Mine is under the cabinet on the counter top...I only pull it out slightly to reach the larger knives in the back when needed. Good value, attractive, and very sturdy.

Best Knife Block Ever!

I gave up using knife blocks years ago because they never fit what I needed them for. To be large enough to hold enough knives, they were crazy heavy and the "slots" never fit my own knife collection. Too many small slots or too many extra large slots, etc. so I gave up, gave them away and started keeping my knives in a drawer with a knife organizer. That worked better but still wasn't ideal because I still have more knives of varying sizes that just don't fit. I keep knife guards on them because waggling your hands around in a drawer full of knives is a dangerous undertaking. I also had my sharpening steel and whetstone in that drawer because I like to give them a few licks on a regular basis to keep a fine edge. A properly sized and sharpened knife makes kitchen work a pleasure. I happened to stumble upon this block and it looked like it could be the answer to all of my needs. I decided to take a chance on it because what I had been doing just wasn't working for me and I was ready to take a little risk to find a better solution. Well, I have been using this block for a couple of weeks now and it is everything I need and everything it is touted to be. Just looking at it makes me smile. It is well designed and balanced. Not too heavy but heavy enough to be stable and manage plenty of knives. The sharpening and honing devices on the sides are a flash of pure brilliance. I wash and dry my knives by hand (always) and give them a lick or two on the sharpener and honer, wipe again and insert into block. I can arrange the knives in order of frequent use and not in some configuration someone else decided I needed to have. A dream come true for an Anal Retentive Chef (that would be me) or just someone who "enjoys" organization and consistency of performance but doesn't necessarily "need" it. I can't imagine any discerning chef being anything but delighted with this block. One of the best purchases I have made on Amazon this year!

Excellent quality, excellent price!

I absolutely love this great knife block - wish I could give it more stars! It replaced a worn out, sloping, cumbersome knife block that took up so much room on my counter and a steak knife block as well! This block holds everything in one very efficient, space conserving block with the added bonus of knife sharpeners on either side. I love that I can return the knives at any angle between the plastic rods, rather than the worn looking slots that held each one in my previous block. So much better for the knife blades, excellent quality, very sturdy. No corners cut on this item! Beautiful, updated appearance as well. Thank you Kitchen Seven for such an excellent addition to my kitchen at an unbelievable price.

Good product but

I had a similar product for many years and it finally needed to be replaced. I liked the way this looked and that it had built in sharpening. The seperate area for paring knives and steak knives is a definete bonus! Shipping was very fast and packaging was excellent. I would have given 5 stars except for one issue. It would have been nice if the bottom was slanted a little. A little difficult to have under a cabinet and pull out knives in the back. Overall a good product.

This is the most efficient knife holder I have ever found!

I love this product and was wanting one like it for a long time. I was so happy to find this one on Amazon. It holds a number of knives of all sizes and I really like the 2 sharpeners on either side of the block. It fits really nicely on my kitchen counter, thus making my knives extremely accessible when I need them. Further, it is attractive which is an added bonus.
