Newbie to sourdough
I’m a complete newbie to sourdough baking. I saw these and everything I’ve seen shows that I needed these bannetons for easy rise of my dough. They look very well-made and I love the cloth inserts and covers. Being that I am a newbie I do wish that there had been some instruction on how to care for my baskets. There is no type of cleaning information about the inserts or the baskets themselves. That would be the only knock I see on them. They are good size and look like they will help to create nice even loaves for baking. I am a more traditional baker and not used to sourdough at all even though I know that these can be used for a normal yeast bread also. For the price, I don’t see how you can beat it. You get both baskets and it looks like a no-brainer if you are needing these.

Solid banneton set for sourdough
I bake a lot of sourdough and this set has been worth it. Having both the round and oval sizes gives me a good variety, and the plastic rattan gives good airflow so the skin forms nicely without sticking. The liners and covers are handy when I want a softer finish; bare basket for a stronger crust. Cleaning these is simple: just tap out the remaining flour, give it a quick brush, toss the liners in the wash, and then let everything dry fully. A couple tips from my use of these: dust with rice flour for easy release, and do not put the baskets near heat. After a few rounds of bread making there has been no fraying, no odd smells, and they keep their shape. These are a good quality for the price, they are functional, and durable. I would buy this set again.

Not worth a penny
Not rattan , it is plastic . Not worth your money. I wash and cure my rattan banneton is the oven ad low temperatures . These melted like chocolate . I did those two and another one from another seller . The one from the other seller did not melt, and it was perfectly cured .,

Makes a beautiful loaf!
I LOVE this set so much I almost kept it for myself. I got it for my daughter to use, and she and I both loved it. The baskets are just the right size, durable, easy to clean, and I love the covers that keep the bread covered. The tools given make the set gift-worthy. They're very well made and work great. The baskets are super cute and make a lovely loaf of bread. Do flour the baskets well if you're not using the liner or it is prone to stick.You'll love this if:--you want a quality set of Banneton baskets and lots of extras for gifting or your own use.--you prefer the Rattan style.--you want elastic covers for your baskets (I love them but some prefer a tea towel).My daughter used this for regular, gluten sourdough. I tried them with gluten free (which tends to be stickier). Both were excellent. Photo shows the dough whisk, which worked surprisingly well even with sticky dough!

Not made of rotten but pretty good roofing baskets
This set of two bread proofing baskets is not made out of rattan. However, they are still pretty nice baskets. They come with liners and covers that can be washable and reused again. The baskets seem to be made from an artificial material. But they wash pretty well. They are lightweight, and the best part about them is their size. The round one is 10 inches, and the oval one is 11 inches. I really like how spacious they are because before I used the 9-inch round proofing basket, it wasn’t as good as this large size. these are easy to use.I love using these baskets for my sourdough bread. I usually make several loaves, and I need a few baskets at a time, so it’s perfect that the set has two. I don’t use the cloth covers. I have single-use shower cups that are made out of plastic. I find them better for cold proofing to retain moisture in the bread.

Plastic, Not Rattan. But still functional.
Outside of the fact that these are plastic, not rattan, I'm happy with these bannetons so far. Each banneton has its own liner as well as a little cover. I do wish the cover was a little looser to allow for a bit more of a rise on larger loaves. The liners and covers pop off easily, and I always make sure they're free of any dough before going into the wash. They feel a little larger than my other set of bannetons. They're easy to use and easy to clean, and get the job done. I think they'd look better without the logo on the covers, but that obviously doesn't impact the functionality, so it's no big deal. One thing to note is that they are some sort of plastic, NOT a natural material. It does not mention whether or not the plastic used for the bannetons is food safe/ BPA free or not. Personally, I would personally want to place the dough directly into the banneton without the liner because of this. This may be a good option for folks who have problems with their bannetons molding. I would not risk putting these in the dishwasher, but they seem to hold up well to hand washing. Overall, this is a solid option if you do not mind that the bannetons themselves are plastic. I just wish the listing did not specifically state that they were rattan as that feels pretty misleading.
