The lid is impossible to remove after using!!! The metal is far too thick for a shaker making the lid impossible to remove. I used to bartend and have NEVER had problems with removing a lid - those shakes all had a thickness at least half the size of this one. See photos for reference:It has been sitting on my counter for a week now with my boyfriend and I trying multiple times a day to remove it with no luck. I would return it but it was a gift and he threw away the box before we used it for the first time :(
Bought this shaker a little less than a year ago and from the beginning the top was difficult to remove. After a few uses the finish on the bottom part where the strainer attaches wore off and it became almost impossible to take the top off. The last time we used this we had to use a pair of water pump pliers to separate the pieces. Not recommended.
Feels very sturdy and a good weight in your hands if that makes sense. Shakes well
this shaker gets stuck every single time i use it. i’ve tried freezing and just about everything else. currently been stuck for 1 week and counting again… unable to use it.
EDIT from two stars to one. Doesn't matter how solid it feels, if you can't open it, it's worthless. So angry. Two stars because it definitely has a solid feel in hand and is the perfect size for mixing a single cocktail. BUT I was sorry that I tried it out and now can't return it. To start, the cap feels good and secure once on, but it leaks. For $28+ it shouldn't leak. I had a free shaker from Grey Goose that never leaked, so this is beyond disappointing. Second, the cap is extremely difficult to remove. A couple of drinks have been watered down and ruined, because it took so long for us to get the cap off. My husband initially thought it was a joke shaker (why would I joke? why would I waste the ingredients? how would this be funny?) until he was able to force it open. So, it might look good, but it leaks AND it isn't easy to use... I should have just held out for another free shaker.
The strainer has only three weak spot welds and breaks off very easily. Not worth the money.
