I am very proud to have this in our cabinet. Looks super professional and doesn't expose our amateur drink mixing level. A beautiful deep gunmetal finish. Heavy feel just the ultimate in uncomplicated and sophisticated shakers. Really love this, if you are gift giving they are going to flip for this.
Bought product in July, and didn’t use it until last week. After 4 cocktails this is how it looks.Pretty good looking shaker but poor quality product.Not recommended, unless is for decoration purposes.
I already own a Barfly metal jigger in gun metal black so wanted the cocktail shaker set to match. This is a solid feeling cocktail shaker that looks expensive and classy. The gun metal gray is a more sophisticated look than the shiny light gray that is traditional. This looks more masculine and would make a great gift for a man. It works great. Rating 5 stars = Love It.
This Gun Metal Black shaker has an attractive finish, and its 18-oz size would be perfect for making one or two cocktails. However, I struggled for quite some time to pull all three sections apart ... truly, it's near impossible! I didn't think I was even going to be able to remove the lid and pour the cocktail, let alone separate the top strainer part from the bottom vessel! A real shame because it is pretty, but obviously defective as several other reviewers have stated. A waste of money, it's going in the trash. There are several other shakers out there that work perfectly well and a lot cheaper! Skip this one!
I have started to gather bar tools to up my drink game at parties at our house. I will readily admit I am a complete novice when it comes to using bar tools, and making a variety of drinks myself for that matter. It's never too late to start. Yay, I'm adult-ing. Barfly seems to be a good company. My first drink using this tool was to make mojitos. I used this cocktail shaker and the Barfly bar strainer. They both worked perfectly. I recommend Barfly tools for the novice or experience bar tender.
This is a review of Barfly M37038BK 3-Piece Cocktail Shaker Set, 18oz (532 ml), Gun Metal BlackOut of the box you will be pleased with the appearance. This shaker is quite beautiful. However, if you use this a lot you will soon discover how easily the beautiful finish becomes scratched. So in that regard this is disappointing and why my other shakers are made of plain stainless steel.Functionally this works well as a cocktail shaker but asthetically it scratches very easily.
I have a stainless steel shaker but the gunmetal is great. It looks great. It is tight enough to not drip. The gunmetal just looks more expensive and it goes well with my gunmetal jigger.
