Nice napkins. Nice thickness. Nice mitered corners. I am keeping those with Payal lace trim.
The photo of greenish napkins shows Bedding Craft "Bird Egg Gray" napkins with Payal lace trim on the left and Bedding Craft "Aqua" hemstitched napkins on the right. Both are pretty, but those on the left are probably a better color match for jadeite green glass, which is what I'm looking for. (See small upside down dipping bowl on the napkins for reference). I wish the colors in the photos online were more realistic and not artificislly color adjusted and amped up by whoever is their graphic designer. It's irritating when the marketing photos don't show what the colors look like in real life. It's also bizarre how the people naming these colors don't understand color words well enough to know that "Aqua" is a turquoise shade of blue, not a shade of green! I appreciate reviewers who show the colors in real life, but I wish the reviewers would say what color they ordered. We need more real-life photos, folks. The various pinks and blues and greens are especially hard to identify. I'm lucky that I pay for Amazon prime so I can get free shipping and free returns; I can afford to over-order, see the colors in real life, and then return, as needed --- but what an inefficient method! I do like the quality of the 100% cotton and the thickness of the napkins from this company. I also like the mitered corners a lot. I am going to risk keeping the pretty napkins that have thrvso-called "Payal" lace trim, but I am worried about whether the lace will fray, fade, or get bad looking over time. Most of the Payal lace trimmed napkins have a single length of lace sewn around the four sides of the napkin with one corner having a joined overlap, but a few napkins have a second joined spot where the lace was not continuous and a fee have a spot where the full little embroidered circle of lace was skimpy. I will try to remember to edit my review at some point in the future and report whether the lace frays in spots where the lace ends or was joined. I ordered several kinds of pink napkins and decided to also keep the "Payal Lace Wild Orchid" pink napkins. Strangely, the Wild Orchid color from Bedding Craft (same company) in the hemstitched design was a slightly different shade of pink. I suppose that must be due to dye lots. For comparison, I show, also, thr "Baby Pink" hemstitched napkins from thr Homidate company. It's too bad that one can't really judge close color variations without seeing the fabric in person.
