Keeps Bread Fresh on The Counter

I’ve tested storing some rolls on the counter for four days in one of the beeswax bags. Thus far, there’s no mold in the bread still has fresh texture and smell.The bags are well-made, out of a medium weight canvas that has been permeated on the inside with beeswax.The bags are designed to be rolled down and secured with a plastic clasp. The clasps are above average quality. They feel smooth in my hand, and the their’ latching mechanism is flexible enough that they are easy to squeeze to release the buckle. This is important to me because I only have moderate hand strength and find some of these types of buckles are very difficult for me to open.The bags have a cute vintage print on the outside that adds to their charm.Overall, I am very happy with this pair of storage bags. I wish I had known about beeswax storage bags years ago!Update: Last week I stored homemade pumpernickel bread in one of the bags. The bread stayed fresh for five days. Unfortunately, on the sixth day, the two remaining slices had a small amount of mold. Although I was disappointed to find the mold, the homemade bread lasted much longer in these bags on the counter, than in a plastic bag or in my ceramic breadbox.

We are loving these beeswax bread storage bags. We had been storing our loaves in paper bags, which was okay. But these bags are tremendously better. They are spacious and easy to open and close with the integrated clip. The cloth on the outside, beeswax liner on the inside, and overall design are terrific. I didn’t know that this product existed, but I wouldn’t try to do without them now.
