The strainer holes are nice and small, so I am able to strain anything with this and don't have to worry about anything falling through the holes.The handles on the sides make it easy to grip and use, and the stand on the bottom is a game changer. I can leave this in the sink to strain my ingredients while I do other things, and the stand on the bottom keeps the actual strainer itself and the food inside from actually touching the sink or counter, so it's very sanitary.Exactly what I needed and was hoping to find something like this. Not cheaply made, very reasonable price, and very useful.

We bought a 5 qt which came in box no damage. excellent price. Well-built made of sturdy stainless steel would not flex with a fair amount of force. kept its form with no deformation. We have cleaned in dishwasher 4 times with no issue when used for spaghetti and does drain very well. We have been replacing our food prep utensils due to their age for BPA I would buy again still this should last me forever I highly recommend this product.

Quality stainless steel colander, should last from now on!
My wife and I have has a number of colanders over the years. The others worked for their purpose just fine but they were purchased as much for their color and look in the kitchen as they were for function. The enamel gradually wore off the others. The plastic ones broke or stained. We should have purchased stainless steel originally and we would have likely still been using them today. They drain and function well and nothing wrong with the looks.

Really nice strainers. Rice doesn't fall through the holes, but quinoa does. Very sturdy, and so much easier to clean than the mesh kind. We enjoy having both sizes.

Lasted 10 years
I've had two of these for about 10 years now. I've used it in the garden, the dishwasher, for pastas, and hot soups, washing fruits, straining out bones from broths, you name it! I'm here now because the handles and base have finally started to separate from the colander. I've put mine through some abuse and it's withstood. If you're nice to your kitchen tools, yours will probably last longer.Now I'm debating between re-ordering two of these (I kept mine stacked one on top of the other) OR if I should try out a new brand. But I'm worried I won't like anything else now. haha.
