This was bought to replace earlier wired thermometers and to avoid constantly using the instant read device. I have read that every time you open the oven the temperature drops 20 degrees.It has proved stellar. Easy to operate and the app works well. It has been used when roasting pork loins, an oven cooked beef roast and finally doing steaks on the grill. In each case it has proved easy to use and produced good results.
Got this gadget for Father’s Day and was impressed by it. It stopped working for whatever reason contacted the company and they are mailing out a new one same day. This company has great customer service definitely would recommend based on that alone
Review BFOUR Wireless Meat Thermometer:I have mixed feelings about this product and not sure yet if I prefer it over my old instant read thermometer. I like the design of the probe and charger which is conveniently on my fridge. It performed well while cooking thick pork chops on stove and in the oven. Alerted me when reaching temp and when it began to go over the desired temperature. I did not find using it as an instant read easy or convenient if you do not have your phone on you while cooking. Also instruction booklet with tiny print so small I could not even read it. I think this thermometer is most useful for outdoor grilling.

DONT BUY!!!! I used this 3 times, then never worked again. If you like wasting money, then buy this. If you want a good, we'll made product then don't buy this
Easy to use, good distance. It's convenient that the holder also has a digital readout. I put that on the kitchen counter and don't need to keep looking at my phone.
I've used a lot of thermometers for grilling and smoking and decided to give this unit a try. Real convenient setup with a slim base station and the probe fitting in the back and charging through the base. Quick charing but the instructions do say to NOT use a quick charging cable. Setup was pretty easy as far as install the app and let it detect the probe and away you go. Battery life seems to be good. The probelm I ran into was that I could not get the temp on the base station to switch to farenheit even though I made the setting changes in the app so if I glanced at the station for a temp check it would show the probe temp in celcius marked with a C and the alarm tempwas actually displaying the F temp I set but marked with a C. The range seemed to be really short between the base and the probe. I couldn't have the base away from the smoker. I had to leave it on the hopper on order for it to be within 3 feet of the probe or esle it would disconnect that it couldn't find the probe. Granted it was inside the smoker with the lid shut. The probe does what it should but I had some quirks with it. If those challengens coudl be fixed it woudl be a great little unit.
