High-Quality Apron with Good Coverage
This is a super nice apron! I love the coverage and the pockets. This will come in handy for the crafting projects we do around the house. I'm not sure if I'll use it for cooking, but I might! The apron is a really high quality, and I'm really glad to have it.

5% polyester, 95% cotton canvas, not 100% “pure cotton”
I chose this apron because I’ve been trying to avoid synthetic materials, for both health and ecological reasons. Polyester fabric generates microplastic particles, especially in the washer and dryer, so 100% cotton canvas and binding was exactly what I was looking for. But this item’s tag says it’s 95% cotton and 5% polyester canvas, with no information about the content of the binding or thread. The laundry symbols on the tag also say to hand wash and not tumble dry, so I guess it won’t be going in the dryer anyway, but it’s still a potential source of microplastics no matter how it’s washed and handled, and it’s just so disappointing to have received a 5% polyester apron instead of the 0% polyester apron that I ordered.Hand washing isn’t usually necessary for cotton canvas, so that’s an unexpected inconvenience also. The weave is somewhat coarse (see closeup photo) with the occasional slubs that are common with natural fibers, and the herringbone-weave trim is a bit coarser than the canvas, but soft and not scratchy. It does look like cotton trim, so it’ll be interesting to see how much shrinkage occurs when I wash it.I do like the color, an unbleached natural beige, and the fabric has no odor, so at least it hasn’t been treated with sizing or other smelly chemicals. For coverage of clothes during baking and other messy tasks like crafts or pottery, I think this apron will work for people who are on the small side (like me at 5 feet tall and 120 pounds), or possibly up to average height and weight, but it’s not a great size for the “big and tall.” The strings for the back tie are both 26” long, and the body of the apron between the ties is 30”, so it should fit around a range of body sizes. However, at less than 28” in length from the top of the bib to the hem, I don’t think that it’s likely to work well in terms of coverage (lengthwise) for very tall people. The three pockets are roomy, and well placed to keep tools or utensils handy while freeing up my hands. The neck loop is 19.5” long and not adjustable, so the whole apron sits low for me, and I’ll be trying a clip or a knot to make the neck loop shorter. If you’re average height, then the neck loop might be the length that puts the apron right where you want it, but this is another feature that may not be a good fit for a taller person. If it had been 100% cotton, I’d say this would be a good deal, it’s a nice enough everyday apron. It’s the polyester content that lowers it to the rank of mediocre for me.
