This oven mitt is perfect. The red matches my kitchen. These double mitts are hard to find, so I ordered two of them. They work well putting in and taking things out of the oven. It is always hanging on the over door so its there when I need it.

Comfortable but NIH

These are more so a British thing. Not sure why they aren’t more popular over here in the USA. Like tying a child’s pair of gloves together through their coat sleeves so they don’t loose them. These allow you to bring in a second hand when necessary, to hold hot dishes. Previous iterations have helped us avoid accidental burns a number of times. Ok. Maybe we might be a bit clumsy, but I suspect there are others like us out there. The previous pair we had were perhaps a bit to thick, making them difficult to manipulate. And they caught fire! So we chose these as a replacement. They are more comfortable and I like the silicone surface for grip and thermal isolation. Time will tell. Having had many of this type of product over the years, these are definitely a nice version. I would recommend them to anyone who grabs dishes from a hot oven. i.e. just about everyone.

Great for kids helping in the kitchen!

I love this particular oven mitt because it protects my son all the way up both arms and across his chest when he is pulling something out of the oven!It is certainly better than starting off with two separate mitts when learning to safely remove items from the oven.It is durable and great quality too! You can tell by the weight and feel of it that it is sturdier than ones you could grab off the shelf at most stores inexpensively.
