Okay, first let's talk about the "Chug" cap. It's the cap with the larger hole with the automatic pop top. This is the one you use without the straw. Does the lid not pop all the way at a decent angle Yes. However, this is a minor inconvenience where you may have to tilt your head back slightly versus tilting the bottle up. By tilting your head back and holding the bottle slightly at an upward angle you'll be fine. The key is you don't want to smush your nose I get it just tilt your head back a little bit.Now what's going on to the straw cap. The straw cap is the one that has that manual flip lid and we all remember this from elementary school. The thermos that you had in your little Barbie or transformer lunch box had the same exact thing. Turn this lid upside down take straw with flat edge push into the hole that is in alignment with the spout that extends to a 90° angle. The other little hole that has the white rubber that is for air flow (the old Hawaiian Punch can routine where you had to punch another hole in the lid so air could get in, it's a physics thing) and whatnot so air has to go in that hole right while you are sucking all the fruity juicy soda pop goodness through the straw. Some of the reviews were talking about how cap was only allowing a little bit out and didn't make sense it looks like people were trying to use the straw cap as the chug cap. (One person actually said that when you try to drink from it it ends up pouring all over you and nothing comes out of a little hole I think they were actually using the straw lid upside down without the straw in the other piece and basically they were trying to get it to come out of that little hole meanwhile if they tilted it far enough it would come out the spout that was open but it would hit them like in the nose or a forehead or something, Don't worry I've ordered special signs for those people).Now honestly I would be remiss if I did not mention that I stared at this thing for a good 15-20 minutes before I figured it out but I'm also diabetic and I don't see well in lower lighting especially when it's like a black item they kind of blends together and whatnot and I'm in a low light condition currently.So now that we got the lid situation under control let's focus on how the canister actually works. As far as I can tell so far does a good job it's thick and you know the powder coating on the outside feels good it's a decent size on the bottom so it should fit in a you know a cup holder My power chair actually has a cup holder and cell phone holder so I'm looking forward to utilizing that. I'll be in Canada New England on a cruise this upcoming week and then I do a back to back and that one's going to the Bahamas. So I'll be able to test it in cold weather and hot weather stay tuned same bat channel same bat time.Remember to do three good deeds a day one because you should two if you're feeling froggy and three if you want to be a superhero remember not all superheroes wear capes.
