They are extremely durable and well-made, clearly designed for high end industrial or high-capacity vacuum sealers, which makes them ideal for bulk cuts of meat and large-scale food prep. That was my intended purpose, since I recently placed a bulk meat order where cuts come in 15-18 lb sections, requiring me to portion into roasts appropriate for my family. I also like to start prepping holiday side dishes in advance, and freeze large, thin, flat -ready to add ingredients, makes the larger size a big plus for me.I’m not from a family that hunts deer, but I have close friends and extended family who do, and that was one of the first uses that came to mind when I unfolded these and saw the XL size—perfect for those that process there own venison.What I didn’t realize until they arrived was that the shorter end of the bag is actually a couple of inches wider than the opening of my FoodSaver machine. That was my oversight in not measuring first, but the good news is that these still work beautifully once cut down to size. I tested sealing them on my FoodSaver, and the seal was perfect every time. For now, I’ll use those that I trimmed for testing, but I’m honestly considering upgrading to a larger vacuum sealer.
