These are better than any random pot holder you can get. Easy to clean if they get messy, and they hold up to everything. Cloth and silicone, or what ever you use will never last like these will. The little rubber feet to protect my counter can be easily replaced.
Overall great quality especially for the price. Thick, durable and looks great out compared to my previous wooden one.
These are great. The padded feet on the bottom are nice and thick and seem to be secured pretty well. The feet add enough height for me to be comfortable using them for dishes straight out of the oven or off the stovetop without worrying about destroying the finish on my table. I do quite a bit of cooking, so I'm eager to see how the finish holds up over the long term. Shiny cast iron can go either way as it ages.Regardless of how the finish works out in the long run, this is a solid option for yourself or to give as a gift. They are pretty enough to use as an accent piece in the kitchen, and sturdy enough to be used daily for those who like to let the family serve themselves at the table.
I am not using these as trivets, although they would work perfectly due to the heavy duty weight and the hight to create distance between your hot pan and your table. Instead I’ve used them as decorative pieces and they are beautiful. In the space of a week I had 3 different people come over and all three commented how beautiful they are and asked where to get them. They’re heavy and sturdy and need a few nails into the sheetrock/studs. I love that I can use them for both esthetic values and if I need to I can grab them off the wall for trivet purposes if I am serving a pancy dinner.They’re well crafted and beautiful.
