This cutlery set is beautiful! I wanted something a bit more classy now that my children are grown and I no longer have to worry about them throwing away my silverware. They have weight to them which is what I was looking for. It is worth the money to buy something so nice!!

I want to like these. I really do.What I was looking for, was a good dark black set of silverware. Most of the sets available on Amazon are a very strange shape, but I was hoping for a more traditional shape. I was really hoping to find matte black, but I knew that these weren't so I won't judge based off that.However... these are VERY shiny. Practically like a mirror. Not enough to lower my rating, but more than I gathered from the listing.The part that disappoints me; is the color. To me, these are not a real true black; they are much more of a dark dark grey. I know that's close, but people who seek items that are true black, will understand the frustration of finding something not *all* black. Perhaps part of that comes from just how shiny and reflective they are, but when trying in different lights, they still just strike me as very dark grey.They would look fine against other things, but I have to be honest, I'm just not a fan.Structurally, though, they're really solid. I like them so very much in that department! The handle is soft, they feel good in my hand. I would enjoy using them. I also think they would hold up very well in the dishwasher! I was afraid they would be made with a coating that would chip and flake off over time, but this does not feel like the case.I leave 4 stars because it is still a lovely set of silverware, and someone who is not as persnickety about color would probably enjoy them.
LOVE THESE! My color scheme in my apartment is black, purple, silver and white. These could not compliment my aesthetic any better. Each piece is made of a heavy duty metal that has been polished and shined to exquisite perfection. The set is complete for a fine dining experience if that is what you’re after. Sitting along side my dark gray plate set, on top of my lavender purple placemats, the decorative quality these bring to my little bistro table is quite a step above what I expected. These are not some run of the mill regular metal with a paint additive, they are a black metal that has been refined to bring a polished finish. They do well in the dishwasher with Cascade but I do recommend doing a quick towel polish as you take them out just to ward off any spotting. I recommend these beauties for regular dining, entertaining guests or a holiday dinner gathering. The value of them far surpassed my expectations when I received them. I’ll be ordering another set to add to my 4 person setting for my own entertaining needs. Don’t pass these gorgeous utensils by!!
