I like this product, it does its purpose. That being said, it can get too tight sealing the container. We ended up tightening it; enough for the liquid not to leak, but the bottom can look misaligned.

Needed accessory for ninja blender
Our whole family loves smoothies, & my daughter uses our Ninja Blast all the time to make smoothies to take with her when she goes to study or work out.Whenever there are multiple pieces to any of our kitchen appliances - & especially the ones that travel - I'm always concerned that things will get lost. Plus, sometimes my daughter forgets to bring the empty vessel in from the car... Ugh, you can only imagine how gross it can get!When I saw this extra blade covering cap, I immediately thought it would be great to have an extra on hand that's clean (the vessel is easy to clean, the cap has a gasket so when it's gross, I tend to soak it in vinegar for a bit to really sanitize it, which means we don't have it to use), as well as a replacement in case one of the pieces gets lost.I am delighted to say these appear to be official Ninja parts, which is awesome because they have that sturdy, well made, Ninja quality.Both the cover and cap fit our Blast perfectly! The cap seals tightly just like the original, and we've used it a few times now with absolutely no leaks.As an extra bonus, I absolutely love the additional functionality I discovered when the two pieces arrived already screwed together for easy storage - I had no idea they were designed to do that! (they were packaged separately in the original Ninja Blast box, and it never even occurred to me to try to screw them together). This way, they store compactly and they don't get separated in our kitchen storage drawer!If you have a Ninja Blast, I highly recommend this product! It fits perfectly, and it's great to have the extra on hand!
Vessel cap leaks
Cool addition to the personal ninja blender. Like others, I wish the item came with these 2 pieces originally. The cookie is fine, easy to install both parts. Nice to be able to cover the blades with the one accessory. Suspect the cup bottom will hold up to hotter temps but I don't think anyone is using their personal blender for very hot uses. The idea is good so you can take the blender cup with you and leave the base behind but you must turn the cup and lid upside down in order to twist on the bottom accessory. Don't make a mess. They are hard plastic and should provide easy cleaning but not sure about dishwasher use or overall durability. The value could be better. Overall value for me is ok to good.
This blade cover and vessel cap set works perfectly with my portable Ninja Blender! The pieces arrived compactly screwed together (and made me think for a second that I only got one of the pieces. ha!). They fit my Ninja perfectly. If you flip the blender upside down and let it drain for a minute, you can unscrew the motor/blade portion and attach the vessel cap to the bottom of the cup. It had a perfect seal, and there were no leaks when I flipped it right side up! The blade cover can then cover the blades and keep them clean and safe until you are ready to use the blender again. The best feature of this really is the vessel cap because it allows you to take your drink with you without having to take the heavy blender/motor bottom portion with you.Note that the corners of the blade cover and vessel cap are slightly offset. I was worried it wasn't sealed properly at first and kept trying to turn it "just a little farther" but that is not necessary and is part of the design.
