Lifesaver!
This brought my 10yo Vitamix 5200 back to life. It really sounded like the motor was dying, black fluid was leaking into the jar, I'd bought a lesser replacement and was about to sell it for parts because I couldn't afford repair, much less replacement. Until I did one last desperate search and found this. Didn't necessarily know it would solve those problems, but for the price, what the heck? Watched a YouTube tutorial, maybe 10 minutes of easy work, and it's seriously good as new. Amazed. The noise wasn't the motor at all, just the original blade assembly being worn out and not fitting right anymore. If you've got similar issues, you gotta give it a try!

Worked out for my outdated VITAMIX…
I ordered this because my old VITAMIX Blender was seeing its age. I always wondered what do u do when the blades finally cave in efficiency? I guess that a replacement directly from VITAMIX would seem reasonable, but knowing how expensive it would likely be, I just kept trudging along with the original blades. When I came across this, I was super excited. When it arrived, it was packed well, the parts in separate compartments. It came with easy to understand instructions to change out the blade mechanism. That said, I still summoned my neighbor to assist. We were able to take apart & reassemble the parts easily. It took apx 20 minutes in total, but it was a done deal. But would it work??? He said, let’s try something “soft” first. We chose a banana. After letting the banana write out it’s last will & testament, we put it in & voilà! We had pulverized banana mush! Success. One of the banana bunch played Taps, while the others shook in their peels.🫣 My neighbor made an adjustment, I can’t tell u what he did, but then the mixer whirred & purred as ONLY the club of VITAMIX owners know. Yes, it’s still the familiar sound of the loud grinding of a powerful motor & blade when it meets with unlucky fruits & veggies. All was good.Actual Review: Well made parts, easy instructions included (but having a neighbor who’s an electrical engineer never hurts😉), compatible with original VITAMIX motor & pitcher, good price point, & that I now have an “almost new” blender afterwards, what can I say but yay!🥳

Blades are sharp
This was really nice to replace my decades old blades. The old ones had every tip chipped off, and a couple of noticeable gashes in the blade itself. None of them had any sharpness left and would be very difficult to sharpen given the scuffs. These brought new life to the blender, I forgot how efficient the Vitamix is! Easy to replace, but be careful cause those blades are SHARP (I cut my thumb a little on it before I knew it). The bottom cog didn't replace well on my model, the blender failed to seat completely and ended up sending up burning black plastic as the edges of it were rubbed off. It's not easy to change this, you have to the alen wrench in at an angle to tighten. I ended up having to put the old one back in, but this is ok because there really was no real wear on the old cog. But check your model carefully, there are apparently minor differences that can be significant. I got this for the blades so it gets 5 stars from me
