I purchased this when I finally accepted that my blender blade was not blending my frozen fruit that well. I have been searching for a reasonably priced container and blade for awhile and glad this popped up in my feed. Given that you get the tool to remove the blade in addition to some other parts, I believe the price is very reasonable.My blade was the original blade and I've had my blender for around 12-13yrs. so it was very dull. It blends well enough for me but sometimes it doesn't cut up my frozen strawberries all the way. It doesn't bother me though. For the price, I am pleased and would buy this again.

Perfect for M5200, 64 oz
After paying $149 for the official Vitamix Replacement container/blade, I felt guilty about throwing away my old container as it will remain in the environment for thousands of years. Decided to give this $21 replacement blade a try and was amazed at how easy it was to install and how effective it is. I now have two containers that are equally capable and use them interchangeably. I don’t know how long the new blade will last but will update this if it dies early. My VitaMix blade was good for 10 years of daily use.

Fit my blender, blends, but not as STRONG as original
My Vitamix blade breaks after 15 years and the warranty is done. I look here for a new one and find this solution but many say it won't fit their machines. Others say it fits great. Skeptical, I call Vitamix customer service and they are HAPPY to sell me a whole new blender top for $144! They don't sell this part standalone and caution against it blah blah. But I decide to hedge my bets and try this for $25 instead. It arrives, fits and works great, saving me $100+. Here are two downsides. First, its noisier by far than the original. Second, and more important, the blade is NOT nearly as high quality. I have to blend for much longer and still get chunks of frozen strawberries in my smoothie. Its a trade off. Last tip: before you order this, look at your blender top's design and make sure to get the exact blade made for your model because i think people are correct when they say SOME simply don't fit.

Very disappointing reliability. The item failed after just a few short months of usage. The tread in the aluminum screw failed during usage and the content of the container just spilled all over the kitchen. The condition of the tread can be seen in the pictures. I could just push the 2 pieces together without screwing them together.

Does not fit my 5200 base- blade gear shaft wrong length
I have a vita-mix 5200 series and this kit will NOT work for this base. The shaft with the drive gear for the blade assembly is 3.5mm shorter than the original part, and will either not engage to the blender base at all or just enough to grind and damage both parts.Otherwise, everything seems like solid quality- I especially appreciate the steel sleeve for the square side of the drive socket- the old one was just a set screw going through ABS plastic and I'm shocked it lasted as long as it did.If they can get me sorted out with the proper fitment I think these parts should work great
