I made the mistake of putting our Vitamix pitcher in the dishwasher and the gears froze up. I was skeptical but tried this. It’s perfectly fine. It functions just like the original Vitamix pitcher. Noise level is the same. Seems like the durability will be the same and the price point was perfect! The plastic material is the same thickness and no bpa. I
The size is great, works very well and the lid seals tight. The only drawback is the lid is a little hard to get off if snapped all the way down.
I got this pitcher for our 5200 Vitamix blender. I've been using it for a week between 1 and 3 times a day and so far, I absolutely love it. I'd go as far as to say I like it better than the official pitcher that came with the blender. I'll be honest. I had my doubts at first because this pitcher is a bit different in design compared to what I usually find when needing to replace our Vitamix pitcher, but I'm glad I ordered it.I do want to mention a couple of things I don't like, but consider minor. These were not deal breakers for me, but I want to include them in case they are for other people. First, I don't like the lid that comes with it. I like the kind that has the two side tabs and this one doesn't have those, making it harder to remove the lid. However, I already have a lid with the side tabs and it fits on this pitcher. The second thing is that the pour spout is more squared off rather than rounded, making pouring go slower unless you don't mind your drink/food spilling over the sides a bit. To be honest, I ended up spilling over the sides a lot with my last pitcher too. As long as I'm pouring into a wide mouth container, it's not a big deal.Now for the good, which I feel more than outweigh the bad. The blending is great. I use our Vitamix everyday to make a huge batch of green smoothies with salad greens, fruit, frozen fruit, dates, and supplement powders. I haven't seen a noticeable difference in blending power. If there is one, it's too minor to bother me. On all my usual blends which mainly include smoothies, guacamole, desserts, it's taking roughly the same amount of time as my old pitcher.The shape design is so smart. When you look down into the pitcher, you'll notice the shape of the bottom resembles a four leaf clover rather than the more square shape of the official brand pitcher. This clover shape has made a world of difference when it comes to both cleaning, and getting your food out of the pitcher. Especially if you have a blender spatula. I was always frustrated in the past at how even with a blender spatula, it was hard to get thick foods out of the pitcher, working around all the sharp angles with a rounded spatula. With the rounded inner corners of this pitcher, it's so much easier. It's so much less angular as a whole.The shape is also what makes it easier to clean. I use the method Vitamix recommends which is filling the pitcher halfway with water and a few drops of dish soap, and then blending on high for 60 seconds. I have found this method very lacking for any pitcher I've had and we always end up taking a sponge and more soap to it after the 60 second wash. Plus all the angular inner edges made it hard to use a soft sponge without being very careful not to poke myself on the blades. The clover shape on this pitcher gives more space to clean the surfaces around the blades without as much chance of getting poked, and I feel like it's easier to make sure I've cleaned every part of the whole pitcher because it doesn't have all the angular nooks and crannies. This pitcher may still end up with the damage and build up that regular use does to plastic blender pitchers. Until Vitamix or a generic brand makes a glass pitcher, it's just something we have to deal with, but I'm hoping the ease of cleaning staves it off for longer than usual with this pitcher. So far, I don't see any build up, but it's only been a week.I also wanted to mention I like the blue green tint to this pitcher. It looks nice in my opinion.Even though I don't yet know the long term durability of this pitcher, I like the design so much that I ordered a second. There's been times when I really liked a product, but could never find it again and I like this pitcher so much, that I would hate for that to happen in this case and I know with our blender usage, we'll be replacing this one at some point in the future. I hope this product stays available for a long time. As long as the price stays fair, I'll be reordering it.If my opinion about this pitcher changes, I'll update my review.
I bought a vitamix machine second hand through Tucson Market Place considerably cheaper about 6 months into having it the pitcher broke. Kept waiting for the company to have a better deal in replacing the container. Didn't happen. So.... I bought this pitcher it fits my 5200 series c but I don't like the lid. Amazon lid fits inside. Vitamix lid has two pieces either side that catch on the outside of the pitcher. The tamper from Amazon is too long as it touches the blades so I took the tamper from Vitamix to use it in this container fits perfectly. It's a good value, it's easy to clean. Just don't throw out your Vitamix attachments.
Works perfectly with my vitamix. No issues. Fantastic replacement and much lower price than ordering from vitamix.
I have searched, ordered from Amazon, used few and returned which wasn't working but this one I am using everyday from long time. No complaints and no noise, no leakage nothing. A well-made product that satisfy my need.
Seems good overall, but the tamper is slightly too long. If you are not careful, it will hit the blade, especially if you push it down at an angle.
