These are thick, sturdy & deep. So much nicer than you could find at Wally-mart or the dollar store. These are certainly NOT disposable; but I wouldn't be too upset if they went 'missing'. Unlike my ceramic platters at the last Christmas party. I needed trays to serve coffee cake, brownies, and pinwheel sandwiches for a Memorial service.One of the best buys I've made on Amazon.

Look Great! Has Slight Flex, Indicating it is Not Too Brittle (a good thing!)

I really like how these look: They look perfect for a summery get together. The pattern on the side adds quite an appeal, especially when the contents are colorful and their color is distorted by the optics of the texture. I won't list the items that they would be perfect to contain since the list really is extensive, especially since they will be able to hold some items with some weight. I would not fill them with anything that is excessively weighted since they are plastic.I wash these with a sponge and they come clean very easily. Obviously any type of abrasive will scratch them, so I do not use any type of abrasive sponge or soap. By the same token, these are most certainly NOT to be washed in the dishwasher.With regard to recycling these if they break or for whatever other reason, these are polypropylene so they are classified as a number 5. Where I live, the recycling facility will not accept a number 5 plastic, so it will ultimately be destined for the garbage - but not for many years is my prediction since they have been very resilient thus far.
