Great App Based Thermometer

I have had this for a few months and I am impressed. It works well and was within one degree of my wired probe. The range is very good, I can be upstairs and it functions great. The battery life has worked all night for me, I would guess 16 hours and still had a good charge left. The app is intuitive and easy to use. I like that one probe measures both meat and ambient temperatures. The case is small and easy to throw in a drawer unlike my other wired thermometers. If you don’t mind a app based wireless thermometer then this one is for you.

I purchased this InkBird thermometer to replace an older wired one I had previously. My last thermometer worked excellent so I was excited to get a wireless one.SetupSetup was super easy an only took a few minutes to connect and configure the app. The app is intuitive and easy to use. The range from my barbecue was good too. No dropped connections during both cooks!First CookI started with a steak. I put the probe into a NY strip steak and it tracked the temp until medium rare, then I cranked the heat up on my grill for the perfect sear. This ended up being one of the best steaks I’ve cooked this year.Second CookNext I used the thermometer to cook a bone in pork butt. I wanted to see how the battery life was for a long cook. I put the butt in my smoker at 8am and it was done around 7pm. 11 solid hours and the thermometer came through like a champ letting me know when the pork hit that magic 203 temp.Overall this is an excellent thermometer. Not only is it accurate, but it also less expensive as some other large brands. I definitely recommend this to anyone who cooks meat on their grill or in a smoker.
