Good value for money
I think I saw this one mentioned in a New York Times review, and it it works great. I love it and recommend it. The finishing is not high end, but I wanted an inexpensive, everyday french press. This is it! Good value for money. Functional!

Meh
Low key showed up broken and I was too lazy to return it, the plastic lid completely broke off, and honestly it’s not the best at straining coffee though it still works kinda, there’s just definitely better options I feel.

Not broken
Box arrived fairly beat up. Luckily nothing inside was broken or damaged. This is my first French press. I didn't know where the instructions were until I looked inside the glass. The pages on the instruction manual was rough and paper slivers were everywhere. The instructions itself were mostly self explanatory and in multiple languages. I did still look up additional tips online to try and get the best first cup of French press coffee I could (things like blooming, mixing, preheating, scraping grime, cleaning)Once I had all that done and cleaned everything (quite a few pieces I might add: the glass, cover, press which includes plunge, base, screen, and top piece) I was set to make the coffee.I started with a hot coffee (will try cold brew some other time). The steps weren't too bad. Some sediment did come out when I poured near the end so I'll probably not try to get every drop next time or pour through some other filter as well. The strength of the coffee did take me by surprise. I didn't expect it to be sneakily stronger than my normal drip iced coffee. The flavor of the coffee was great along with the smells. Noticeably better than my standard drip coffee maker.Overall I do like the French press. It is a little on the larger side though for me to do just a single cup, the press doesn't go far enough down for a small cup.It also looks great on the counter.I don't regret getting this but I did knock off a point due to the amount of effort needed to clean and I wish they'd provide more tips on how to make the best French press coffee

TRY THIS FOR TEA - IT’S PERFECT
I love my French press and it’s never had coffee in it. I use it for tea. It’s much better than a traditional tea pot as the strainer keeps the tea leaves from pouring into the cup. And by never putting coffee in it, the flavor of the tea doesn’t get ruined by coffee. I’ve had one for years and I only replace it when I get a little too fast washing dishes and I slam the glass into the side of the sink. Ceramic-covered cast iron is not forgiving of glass. If you drink both tea and coffee, I would recommend getting two with different colored lids and only using one for tea and the other for coffee.
