Thin but nicely made.

When I read indoor outdoor faux linen placemats made out of polyester, I was thinking the placemats were going to be more of a woven vinyl that would be easy to keep clean while having a textured look to feel like a cloth. Well, the design is nice, but they are very thin and resemble cloth not the faux linen I anticipated. They do not look like outdoor placemats. First of all they would blow away instantly! I plan to use them inside so the fabric is suitable for my needs. They are nicely made, the edges are sewn straight and neat. They are a one sided designed placemat. I think the pattern is very indicative of spring, they are bright and cheerful with a Mediterranean vibe. The care directions are written on the packaging. They are washable, dry flat and use a low iron. Price inexpensively and offered with a coupon makes them a lovely spring or summer table decor, it also explains why they are so thin.Update: I use these placements on my kitchen table during my daughter’s Ciao Baby lemon themed baby shower. Afterwards, I had to wash them. I hand washed in a big basin of water with some liquid dish soap, and rinsed well. I hung them on the hangers to drip dry. I then ironed them on a medium setting to remove all the wrinkles. They came out nice and did not fade.
