It will beat your floor in a fight.
This pitcher is well-made, with a tight seal and solid glass construction that's impossible to knock over. However, it is not impossible to drop. If you’re clumsy like me, it will eventually happen and when it does, be prepared to fix the floor. I dropped mine today and it dented my porcelain tile. Fortunately, we are planning to replace the floor anyway. The half-gallon size works well for making sun tea, and it fits nicely in the fridge. It is substantial without being heavy. I do have to remove the lid completely to pour.

Very good, quality glass, 2liter, large enough for half-gallons of milk, juice, etc.
I like the Frigoverre 2L glass pitcher because it is glass, not plastic, it's large opening makes cleaning easy, and it fits in the fridge. I like that the glass is EU/Italian quality. It easily holds an half-gallon (1.89L) I do not have a problem with the cap. The cap can be disasembled for cleaning then snapped together again. THis is the second one I have purchased.Amazon's delivery photo proved it was delivered to the wrong address and Amazon was not helpful in resolving this problem. I had to hunt it down to another address. As I sought the package I found another package, delieverd to another wrong address, that was for the address I found my order at and left it at their (correct) door. I have pictures and video as evidence.

Wonderful pitchers; problematic lids
I bought two of these pitchers 6 years ago and I use them every day. I love the size and the square shape of the pitcher, and they are very well-made.Unfortunately, the lids have been a big disappointment.I have had no problem getting a tight seal, but they are made entirely of plastic, are hard to clean thoroughly, and I can't find replacements for them. They seem to be an odd size (3.25" inside diameter, 4.25" outside,) or I don't know how to measure properly - not sure which, and my research has not enlightened me.I requested help from Bermiolli Rocco a few years ago and their response actually made me sad - that is how much I love these pitchers. I asked BR for replacement lids, citing the design flaws and that there seemed to be no way to get new gaskets. They responded by asking me for proof of purchase. That may not seem like a big deal, I could have proved my purchase and probably should have just done so, but it put me off. First of all, I contacted them via the link provided with my Amazon purchase. Secondly, the company must've realized these lids have issues, I knew I couldn't be the first to notice. (Judging by other reviews here, I'm not.) Finally, I would've paid for new lids if necessary, and said so! ...and why would I go to the trouble of scamming someone for *pitcher lids*, anyway?? I mean.At some point, I discovered the lids do come apart for cleaning, which was helpful. However, there is a deep crease in the center that is impossible to get completely clean, and I still don't like that they are entirely made of plastic - BPA free or not - and that there are no replacements available, not even gaskets. I will continue to use the pitchers, which are wonderful, but will have to recycle/repurpose the lids and use stopgap measures until I can come up with a better solution. It's a shame that I couldn't give these wonderful pitchers a glowing, 5-star rave, but the problematic lids and lack of solutions offered by the company have taken a star off this review. Considering the price, I'd have taken off another half star, if it were an option. Such a shame.

Great milk pitcher
I had been looking for a glass milk pitcher for a little while - as glass is better to sanitize for our raw milk vs the plastic I had been using. Seals well and won't spill. Holds just over a 1/2 gallon (as stated). Have to pour a bit slow/cautious due to spout size/configuration - you'll discover this with the first use. It's a stout & short little container and still fits on refrigerator door. I don't have any issues with the smaller handle, but I do have small hands. I don't recall seeing this in the directions, but the lid comes completely apart for cleaning (gasket, plus 3 plastic pieces) - which I didn't discover until using it for about a month (had always removed the gasket ring, but didn't disassemble the others). To do this, the rectangular piece on top will pry/pop off and then you unscrew the 2 threaded pieces. Nice pitcher has been perfect for my filtered raw goat milk. Stays fresh and can keep the container clean. The seal also keeps out any 'refrigerator' taste (or any other items that have a stronger smell that you store in your frig - like broccoli or hard boiled eggs). Wish I had found and purchased this sooner.
