This very high quality material. The thickness of your slice can be adjusted by changing the angle you drag the cutter across the block of cheese. It can cut slices so thin they are almost see through. It is so sharp it takes very little effort to pull it across the block.
Love this cheese slicer it my favorite! It makes the perfect slice thickness it is lightweight with nice grip. It is worth every penny and works excellently.

Surprisingly sharp. It slices Munster cheese like a charm. It is also, perhaps surprisingly, lightweight. In fact, this is emphasized on the package - the handle is hollow. It looks good on the table. In one comment it was mentioned that the handle separated from the blade. From just looking it is not obvious, how the connection is made. A weld is not obvious. It could be simply by pressing. From this aspect, longevity or use on some hard cheese could be of concern.
I returned from Vienna with a block of cheese…perfect for that.

Very nicely designed and very functional. Good quality stainless construction, w/ good, sharp blade. Durable, nicely weighted, sturdy. Very reasonably priced. Bought two as one always seems to be in dishwasher.
