Minimalistic ideal, cozy design, a flawless replacement from the same company
UPDATED: Upgraded from 3 to 5 stars after exchanging the mug, the replacement is 5 stars perfect in ever way and it has arrived the next day. We own now 3 of these mugs, all fantastic in every way. They are so harmonious, they remind of Kon Marie inspirational videos :)As a hyper-non-minimalist, I found this dot of simplicity perfect for my kitchen. And the family loves it too!The shipping back for replacement was free and no box was required, we just dropped it by UPS, they packed (with Prime).The perfect replacement has arrived immediately, not even 24 hours has passed.Two other identical mugs ordered from the same company were flawless to start with.------------------------The original review was 3 stars as follows:mix-use, mix-impressions: 5 stars design, 1 star workmanship, 3 stars porcelainWe'll keep it as a dry-erase marker holder. I bought it to see if it can be written on with a dry erase marker and erased without "ghosting": the answer is YES, both on the matte outside and on the gloss inside. But it cannot be gifted because there are numerous flows in its finishing:a dark scratch on the front, small bubbles and a large "spill looking" streak on the surface. The design is above 5 stars: a unique and subtly captivating shape, understated but memorable, an innovative holder, a tasteful adaptation of "glossy inside, matte outside" trend (the line separating the two finishes on the top of the cup is not annoying at all, which is usually hard to achieve). I'd gladly pay more if the quality were be a par with the design.As a giftable tea cup, would be wonderful IF the quality were improved: keeps the temperature, pleasant to cup in one's hands. For this price, it will be a marker holder.Maybe we will get another to envelope a small pots with a succulent (with marble chips on top of the soil and dry erase labeling possibilities, it would be an ideal use for this cup).UPDATE: the second mug ordered was packed in a factory white box and had a flawless finish, none of the problems the first mug had. The first mug was not in a factory box and probably has been used. The second one which came from the factory is perfect. So you ill get, mysteriously, either a 3 stars or 5 stars product, at random :). The design itself is top-notch!
