Kept bread good and warm
This is really nice breadbasket with terracotta plate to warm up and keep your bread, pancakes, tortillas warm longer. I do however have some questions. One is why no lid or top to cover up the bread etc? Also, why so pricey? I get it's nicely made and from the looks of it a well-made basket, and Stone? It's not actually stone; it's Terracotta which is different and you need to clean it differently and with terracotta be careful not to soak it in soap as you can get soap in the pores. However, Terracotta is much better for keeping bread warm for the longest. But I still have a issue with not having a top of the basket included, I understand that it may not fit with certain breads but, even if put on top of certain breads it will help with keeping warm and covered unless we are just using the cotton wrap that is included.
This is a nice quality basket with the warmer stone that is easy to heat and use and can really class up your family get togethers or parties. You can warm your bread or rolls without worrying about baking them or making them hard and it just makes it all feel really fresh. It looks nice and is a good size for most dinners. Would also make a nice gift for family or friends who are into making their own fresh bread to add a nice touch to their efforts.
This is a wonderful set for a home baker. Whether you are just getting into baking or are a seasoned baker, this will have something for you. Even if you are only purchasing bread and reheating it to serve, this is excellent. The basket is beautiful, thick walled, and very sturdy. It has a smooth, tight weave. The stone is beautiful and smoothly glazed. it holds heat for a long time, and it really improves the meal experience to have warmed bread. The included cloth is one I would use more for the rising process than for serving. So if you are gifting this, you could plus the set up with a pretty cloth for covering the bread when served. All the pieced coordinate and function perfectly together. The value is really nice for the quality.
This warming bread basket is great quality, and the heating stone is beautifully designed. This basket also comes with more scoring tools (which I love). I can't wait to use this with my next sourdough loaf.
I love serving fresh bread, especially sourdough, but I hate how quickly it goes cold once it hits the table. I've tried wrapping it in towels, but it just ends up getting soggy. This bread basket with the warming stone is the perfect, elegant solution I didn't know I needed. The basket itself is a nice, sturdy rattan. It looks great on the table—very rustic and high-quality, not cheap or flimsy. It's a good size, easily holding a large round of sourdough or a stack of tortillas. The real star, though, is the terracotta stone. The instructions are simple: heat the stone in the oven for about 10-15 minutes, then place it in the bottom of the basket and cover it with the cloth liner. I was skeptical about how long it would actually stay warm, but it works like a charm.I used it for a dinner party last weekend, and the bread stayed perfectly warm and soft for the entire meal, probably close to an hour. It kept the crust crisp without steaming the inside, which is the key difference from just using a towel.I've also used it for tortillas and pancakes, and it keeps them pliable and warm for breakfast. It's one of those items that feels like a luxury but is actually incredibly practical. If you're a baker, a frequent host, or just someone who appreciates warm bread, this is a must-have. It also makes a fantastic, unique gift—I'm already planning on buying a few for Christmas presents. It elevates the whole dining experience.
