This a good price for a proofing box. I have a cold kitchen in the winter months and this box solves the problem . The control is easy: set it, and forget it. Very good thermostat.Not complicated. However mine came slightly used and shouldn't have been. There was no lame or razor blades. But all the other items see to be unopened. Fortunately Amazon worked out a credit. In the meantime, this is a great item to use henceforth.
This box has made all the difference in bread making. It gives a constant steady temp for starters as well as raising. Easy to use and is plenty big. Also have used it for yogurt.
I bought one for both myself and my daughter for Christmas. I was pleased with the quality and how it maintained the temperature throughout the entire process. It was simple to use, which was a good thing since it had no directions. It did what it was supposed to do and the bread rose to the occasion!

The product is in a good quality. The packaging was very nice. We really like it!!
It is very easy to set up and get running. There is some temperature fluctuation (70 - 75) when set at 70 deg. F. I am working with sourdough starter so want to maintain a cooler temp to inhibit too rapid rise. My home is kept quite cool 63 - 67 so I need the additional warmth. I do have one suggestion for the design: add a small window to the front so you can look in to see the rising progress without having to open it up and remove the cover off the starter or dough to check on rise.
If you are considering buying a proofing box, this is the one. This is my second one and I paid almost double.This one has a built in thermometer. Nothing to place. Easy to use and no extra steps like my old box.My first had a thermometer like probe that had to be pushed into dough or starter. It would fall out and the temp would get messed up. Once it even got too hot and the bottom of starter jar started to get cooked on.This box is a value and worth every penny. It eeven has a carry/packing back for putting it away or carrying it
