Excellent product and value

This is the third time I have bought Foxel knives. My first two purchases a year ago were singles, and they perform very well so I bought this set of five. I am not someone who has need for knives every day but I wanted something of good quality that would last and not break the bank. They have a good edge and are balanced right. The set came with two easy-to-read sturdy magnetized cards of conversion measurement/temperature values. This is one of the few products which I have bought here to which I would honestly give 5 stars and not regret it later.

Awesome, if only sheath was included

An awesome knife to have. I bought this as a gift but i eneded up liking it so much that i kept it for myself.Unlike popular experience, my knife came with enough sharpness but lasted 2-3 weeks of everyday& everything cooking. It wasn't all that blunt just not enough for me. Luckily, i ordered a sharpener as well and life is good.The only reason this is missing my 5-star rating is because it didnt come with a sheath/cover and there is no option to buy separately as well. I'm on market trying universal covers which aren't fitting well.

Beaitiful Knives Kept Gleaming & Rust Free with "Bar Keeper's Friend"

ORIGINAL OUT-OF-BOX REVIEW: Great looking, classy, high craftsmanship, beautiful! So pleased with these knives! Would absolutely recommend.UPDATE AFTER 1 HAND WASHING: Shocked to find 3-4 points of rust on both sides of each knife after 1st washing & air drying!!! Found another review on here with photo that shows more advanced stage of rust after 2nd dishwashing. Terrible!!! Considering returning. Doesn't matter how attractive or sharp if rusting immediately. That's worthless!!! Haven't even used them once yet!!! An embarrassment!!UPDATE #2: After extensive online research into high carbon steel knives (disregard the stainless part on this advertising, it is generally not fully stainless due to metallurgy which creates strong high carbon knives which these Foxel knives have), I have discovered that after you wash them you SHOULD dry them right away. To deal with rust, use a product called "Bar Keeper's Friend," sold on Amazon which is used to remove any rust or staining. As a result of my research, I have decided to keep my beautiful steak knives & purchase Bar Keeper's Friend for shine ups. Hope this helps new buyers encountering this issue. It should be addressed in their write up online but is not.

Great value, a quick favorite!

If you've never used a nakiri knife, you gotta. It feels and functions in a seemingly more versatile way. Its super sharp from the box, and its really easy to keep it that way. Its definitely easier to move processed food without a tip there, and for 99 percent of kitchen work you dont need a point on your knife. I've dices onions, sliced tomatoes, sliced turkey! In bulk. I love it.

German Steel cuts like butter

Beautiful box, black, sleek, very easy to open. Presentation is beautiful. Knife tips topped with plastic covers to protect my clumsy fingers. This would make a great gift. But I didn’t buy as a gift. I needed good steak knives that cut meat very well. I’m very pleased with the design and weight. Good gripping action. Cuts meat like butter, like soft butter. I have always liked German steel, so when I saw these I had to buy them. Good, hard German steel. These should last a lifetime. I’m very pleased.
