Grossly disappointing.

The main gate of the strainer head is off center. I’ve provided several photos that show how horribly this strainer was manufactured. As you can see in the video attached, the lip on the strainer’s handle can’t even catch the edge of my tin because the diameter of the head is a lot smaller than the average antique/classic Hawthorne strainer. If I was straining a cocktail with this DEFECTIVE strainer, the whole strainer would pop out of my tin because the spring jussssstttt barely touches the inside of my tin. That would then result in an ice cold, sudden, surprising splash of whatever kind of liquor I had used, if there was a liqueur or a syrup you’re expecting a sticky mess. Not to mention, possible bits of muddled vegetation might also fly off the springs of the strainer as loosely exits the inside of that tin.Look if y’all didn’t read any of that then whatever. But just think about this… I measured the length and the width of the strainer both with, and without the spring. I did so because the seller had the dimensions posted in the pics of the item.Photographs are attached in reference to the exact, precise measurements of the item I received. The dimensions/measurements in which the seller has listed on the products description are incorrect. Which are abnormally small already in comparison with your typical antique Hawthorne strainer.Look, the diameter of the head w/out the spring measures just under 3inches. With the spring… a diameter of just a touch above 3.75inches as the pictures show. Finally, the length, w/out the spring attached is 7.75 inches, and just a hair over 8 inches with the spring. All measurements differ vastly from the manufacturer’s measurements.I would not recommend buying this strainer. Just get one from barfly they know what they’re doing.
