I love these and use them without muffin pans. I especially like the single muffin cups. Even after owning these for five years, they release muffins and wash so much better than other ones I own. I wish they sold the single muffin cups by themselves without the full silicone pans! CAKEBAKE, please let me know if I can buy more muffin cups! I don’t see where I can contact the company to ask!
These have held their shape. The 12 muffin one can literally stand alone, it is well reinforced and though you can pop out your muffins easily enough, the actual muffin mold is really well made, sturdy, holds shape, washes great, and has resistented staining. I do put it on a baking sheet because it will bend in between when lifted, but it doesn’t lose shape and your muffins don’t bulge or pucker.The smaller one, with the 24 muffins is flimsier. It still holds shape and I use it like crazy, but I always need a cookie sheet underneath. This one has proven helpful for making cookies and freezing as well. I use my dropper and place them in each spot and then freeze. Once frozen I can remove them and store them in the freezer in an airtight container. Love 😍Clean up is also easy. Washes great by hand and dries quickly
I have used both the mini and the regular sized silicone pans and they have a decent amount of support to hold their shape. I do like to put the silicone on a baking sheet just so it's easier to take out of the oven. I've used these to make mini cheesecakes and bite sized bread muffins. You don't need muffin cups with these pans, but they do fit in the regular silicone pan (see picture). I do still spray the molds with cooking spray like regular metal pans, and everything comes out super easy. They are also simple to clean.
The things I like about the products included in this kit:-They are easy to clean, and so far I have never needed to oil or grease any of it-The cupcake "papers" are sturdy enough to stand on their own (on a cookie sheet, of course)-They don't rust (a problem for every metal muffin tin I have ever had, of any brand-They cool to the touch quickly; even the cupcake holders, I picked up and dumped the food out right out of the ovenThe one thing I don't like:-Food doesn't cook as rapidly as with a metal pan and I have to extend the baking time by 10-20 minutes for savory things like frittatas and mini meatloaves (I haven't tried baking dessert items in them, yet)So, I will keep them, and I will use them on occasion, I am sure, especially if I am making large batches at a time. But, for general everyday use, I am going back to using metal. I will just have to be sure I start cleaning and caring for them more diligently in an effort to prevent rust.
These are a must have for the kitchen. I made pumpkin muffins in these, they turned out great the 2nd time, after my mistake on the first batch of not cooling long enough and trying to pop them out, they stuck on the bottom. Make sure to cool completely...I did 15 minutes on my muffins. I made egg cups and they were so easy, just poured mixture in, bake and pop right out. With the egg cups I didn't have to cool off as long, and there was no sticking. As these are silicone they are wobbly, placing mine on cookie sheet sovled that easily. Clean up is easy, soaked in hot water and wiped out with dish cloth, I find that a cloth works better then a scrub brush, but both are easy enough. No mess and easier to store then the metal muffin tins. I love these, definitely recommend.
I bought these about 4 years ago. They are still holding up and are like brand new. I use them ALL the time. The mini pan is perfect for my homemade peanut butter cups. They pop out so easily and it is super easy to clean. My daughter loves how easy it is to make blueberry muffins in the larger ones. I will say for those, we do spray with some cooking oil to help them not stick as it can if we don't. I definitely recommend this product and have even bought some for my mom.
I bought these to make the keto fat bombs. They work well if you dip your finger in coconut oil and kind of swipe it around in each cup, then the contents pop out super easy. Also, if you're freezing the fat bombs to harden them, give them enough time in the freezer to set up, and they will pop out without any problems. Finally, I gave these 4 stars for stability just because they HAVE to have a cookie sheet to sit on, from BEFORE you fill them through baking or freezing. Once they are filled, you CAN NOT pick them up without that support. The bigger muffin cups worked well for individual quiche type muffins and cleaned up easily. They pass the pinch test, so I know they are a safe food quality silicone. (pinch the silicone in half, the silicone should NOT turn white at the fold line)
