Best pair of tongs I own!!
Calphalon does no wrong. The brand is tried and true and one of my most loved, most used, and most trusted brands in my kitchen. I love that their price point is obtainable. At the time I got these, they were listed for $8.99. I have purchased no name brands of tongs for my kitchen in that price point before that break after a few uses. To grab a pair of tongs for under $10 that will last, and be more functional than any other tongs you have in your kitchen... I mean, how can you go wrong? I love that the tongs are have deep wells. Great for searching around for meat bones in sauces, or digging out vegetables out of soups. My favorite part about these are the "teeth" that are on the tongs. Sometimes rubber tongs can be a bit cumbersome and aren't great for picking up small or fragile things. The teeth that these tongs have really help with grip, more than any other rubber tongs I've had. In fact I have a set of OXO tongs (another brand that I am obsessed with) and the "teeth" on the tongs are so rounded, they look more like scallops than teeth, and they don't grip food nearly as easily. Moving onto the quality and feel. These are heavy, ergonomic, and feel so good in your hand. I have a couple of pairs of super cheap mini tongs in my kitchen, and these make me want to throw them away and replace them with Calphalon immediately. Do yourself a favor, and if you do any sort of cooking in your kitchen, grab these! You will not regret it!!

Nice quality tongs with good grip
I really like the shape of these tongs. The wavy edges are perfect for easily picking up thin and slippery pasta, and they grip tightly so that it's easy to keep the food in place while transporting it from the pot to the plate.The quality is great. These are heavy and thick. I love that they have silicone 'claws' because it makes them safe to use on my nonstick cookware without having to worry about scraping or damage.The lock feature works perfectly, and I love how slim they are when locked and not in use.This set comes with a larger and a smaller set of tongs. I like these so much that I'm replacing my other sets and getting rid of them. The quality of these is so good that I don't think I will need to replace them for many, many years, if ever.I chose the navy blue, and I love the pop of color in my kitchen because I keep them in an open jar next to the stove so that they are easy and quick to access.Calphalon makes good-quality products. A bit narrow but sturdy
I like how sturdy these tongs are. The silicone tip doesn’t come off. Which for me is a plus since I don’t have to worry about water being stuck in there. I will say the way it opens is a bit narrow. I did open them up a bit more & didn’t have any issues with closing & locking them up. I like that the tongs don’t unlock easily. I like a lot especially for storage. The tongs grip really good & haven’t had issues with loosing whatever food item I’m grabbing.

Sturdy Everyday Tongs That Feel Good in the Hand
I have been using this Calphalon Edge 2 piece tong set for a mix of cooking and serving, and they quickly became my go to. The stainless steel body feels solid and well balanced, and the silicone heads are gentle on nonstick pans while still gripping food securely. The taupe color is a nice touch too, it looks clean and modern without screaming for attention in the utensil jar.In use, they feel comfortable and controlled, especially for flipping chicken, tossing vegetables, and pulling pasta or salad together. The silicone tips have enough firmness to grab slippery items but still flex a bit so you can get under food without tearing it. Having two sizes is genuinely useful, I tend to reach for the smaller one for serving and the larger one for stovetop cooking.Cleanup has been easy, with food not sticking stubbornly to the silicone heads. Work Great, Love the Length
I'm really happy with these tongs. I got the 4-pack and shared the others with family and they have also been loving them. I appreciate the silicone as it's easier to clean and I won't have to deal with the rust that I've seen on some fully metal ones. They also won't scrape up my pans. I've also had issues with rubber tongs in the past, with the rubber breaking down over time and getting all sticky and gross. These feel well constructed and I feel more confident that they will last for a long while.Their biggest strength is how long they are. It's definitely very useful when you are cooking something in oil that you don't want to get too close to. It's also helpful when grilling. There is a hook on the end so that you can hang this. They were easy to clean as well. Overall I really can't see any downsides to these tongs.

Ergonomic detent on handle. Good claw for grabbing from a large pot.
These are well made with some distinctive features none of my other tongs have. The handles have ergonomic detent areas to hold onto when using them. Rather than flat areas to grip onto an item like many tongs I have, the heads are like giant lobster claw spoons that form to a point and deform slightly to grip the item with its side edge when you apply force. Both have their uses, but these are definitely more functional for grabbing and holding onto things out of a larger pot while I still prefer a flat head when I am frying because I can misuse it as a scraper.The longest one in the set is about 13 inches from the tip of the claw to the end of the round portion of the handle and is now the longest tong I have. The smaller one is 9 1/2 inches and is a just the right size for using with smaller pans.They use the standard locking mechanism all my other tongs use of moving the hanger piece in and out to unlock and lock.They are labelled as dishwasher safe. Build quality is excellent.
