Large kitchen spoon with a pretty neutral taupe silicone spoon and a metal handle. This is a Calphalon brand, which I have several other items and they have always been nice quality. The join where the silicone part and the metal part meets is very sturdy. The silicone spoon is very easy to clean and I like that the silicone portion continues all the way to half the handle, so most likely the parts that would touch food are silicone. The spoon is also deep and large - I think out of all the kitchen spoons I have, this is probably one of the widest and largest. Great for cooking. Also I love that the spoon in not only very functional, but with the neutral taupe color it's also beautiful.

This spoon is great for all sorts of spoon-needs. It's got a large scooping volume - around 1/2 to 2/3 of a cup capacity. An excellent spoon for nonstick skillets
I have a few pieces of this new stainless steel and silicone set from Calphalon, and it is such a nice quality set.This slotted spoon/skimmer is heavy, large, and it works great for use with my non-stick cookware.I love the stainless steel handle. It's comfortable to hold, easy to grip, and it's substantial. I've washed it in my dishwasher, and it washes well.I love that it doesn't damage my expensive non-stick cookware, and I also love the navy blue and stainless steel look of this slotted spoon. Gap between material is a place for bacteria
The reason I gave this serving/cooking spoon four stars, instead of five is because the gap between the silicone area and the handle as pictured. This is a place for food to enter and for bacteria to start. I wash my utensils well always, I just feel there should not be a gap here. The gap is only in the back of the spoon area and not in the front. I love this brand’s product and have many items from them, I am going to use a spoon and I appreciate receiving it from vine just wish the gap wasn’t there.

This is a very nice spoon. Now my husband can scrape my nice pans all he wants because this isn't going to destroy non-stick or specialty pans/pots, like my Instapot pot.The length is perfect for deeper pans and works well as a ladle. The silicone extends halfway up, and the handle is metal. The silicone is smooth and without nicks, gaps, or weird bits. The metal is flawless as well.The spoon does have a small loop on the end for hanging. This hasn't gotten in the way when using it.I'm not sure the spoon is 100% solid, as it's not overly heavy, but it clearly isn't hollow; this does have a very nice weight - it's perfect.It's a nice spoon for a reasonable price and is a brand name I trust. I feel it should last a long time.I have put it in the dishwasher with no issues.Highly recommend.
