I absolutely love this product! So far I've used it to shred parmesan cheese and to shred potatoes for hash browns. It is easy to use and there are many options with five different blades. I also love that the parts can go in the dishwasher making cleanup easy. This is a great upgrade from a flat hand grater :-)
This grater was so easy to put together and use. Luckily, I have granite countertops, so the suction was fabulous. I had no problems with the handle. I was afraid it might snap off, but it seems very sturdy. I shredded a one pound block of sharp cheddar easily. My only glitch was the shredding blade getting full of cheese and stuck together. I discovered that I just needed to empty it regularly. I used parchment paper to catch the shredded cheese. Next time I'm going to spray the blade with cooking spray for easier cleaning, although Dawn and hot water worked great. Love this grater!
This grater is a GAME CHANGER!!!!! We have been buying in bulk for the last year to save money. The main reason we wanted a grater is to Shred our own cheese. We buy 5 - 10 pound logs, then slice half amd grate half. No more of the BS grocery store mystery cheese blend. We are spending HALF by purchasing in bulk. And it melts so wonderfully!LET ME TELL YOU.....This inexpensive gadget Shredded 20 pounds of cheese in no time! I was super skeptical because of the plastic, especially knowing how hard i am on kitchen equipment. I was leaning towards a power unit...but my husband picked this one. Even with a bad wrist, it was effortlessly effective! It grips to the counter well, not hard to operate or clean. I love it!P.s. I grated bar soap today for homemade laundry detergent. 2 minutes for 2 hard bars of fels naptha
My nutrient recommended that instead of buying shredding cheese that I should buy a block of cheese and shred it. This is because the shredded cheese has a lot of preservatives in it. I finally bought a shredder after some digging on Amazon and this shredder is great! It is very easy to install and shredding is easy for even a 6 year old! My 6 year old son wanted to help shred and I supervised him and he was able to shred the cheese! Turning the knob is hard but he was able to do it it only takes a few minutes to shred a block of cheese. Also the grating performance is pretty good and the cheese comes out nice and thick (we prefer the thicker cheese)My con with this is that the grater does not stick on my granite counter drop, rather I had to put in a pan to secure it (it kept moving on granite). Also, a few times using this the cheese got stuck in the cylinder. So we have to make sure to monitor the cylinder and push the cheese out so it does not get stuck. Overall a pretty good grater.We had quite a few pizzas with fresh cheese and it makes a world of difference! I plan to use this shredder more because it will make my food taste so much better!!

I absolutely love this and am a little upset at myself for not getting one sooner. It makes shredding cheese SO much faster and accurate. I would avoid making recipes that needed freshly shredded cheese because I dreaded the process but this bad boy has me wanting to find more ways to use it. I haven’t used it for anything other than cheese so far but from what I’ve experienced, the other cutters will be handy as well. I LOVE that it has a suction cup, so that I can crank away without worry.
I bought for my daughters birthday. We were having a pizza night and it shredded the cheese perfectly! We used both shredder blades . The parmesan was perfect. I would recommend keeping the soft cheese in frig until ready to use. The suction cup worked great and the handle was very smooth. She can't wait to use the slicer.
