High quality, sharp, made to last
I've been trying to upgrade my kitchen knives- I want better quality products that will last. This Cangshan Elbert series 8" kitchen knife is a great piece!🔪PACKAGING: This knife comes in the manufacturer's packaging. The packaging is very nice- perfect for gifting. The packaging keeps the knife in place and it arrives free of damage.🔪THE KNIFE: While I'm not an expert on kitchen knives, its clear to me that this is a beautifully crafted, high-quality product. The knife blade is constructed from forged German steel. This is a full tang knife, meaning that the steel runs from the tip of the blade down to the base of the handle. A full tang knife offers better leverage and balance. The ergonomic handle makes it very easy to use. I'm starting to get arthritis in my hands so this is an important feature to me. I want to be able to use the knife, but be able to use it safely and I feel like I can do so with this knife. The 8" blade is extremely useful for about anything in the kitchen from fruits & veggies, to meats, to everything in between. The blade is very sharp! Per the manufacturer the blade is heat treated which helps it maintain its strength. This is really an excellent knife that I've found myself using frequently.CLEANING: As with most high-quality knives, this is recommended to be hand washed.OVERALL: This item is listed at $59.99 at the time of this review. I am willing to pay more for a quality item that is well-made and made to last. This knife is that. Its worth the cost because I know it will work well for a long time. It's already becoming my go to knife. This is a good value for the cost. I would definitely recommend it. It would make an excellent gift for anyone who enjoys cooking!Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️Recommend? 👍🏼

Absolutely beautiful knife
This is a beautiful knife. It is a weighty 248g / 8.7 oz full-tang design, and it not only sports German Chrome-Moly-Vanadium steel, but also a German-like blade curve profile ideal for rocking cuts. It has a tapered blade thickness, from about 0.5mm at the tip to 3.0mm at the root so finer slicing can be accomplished at the tip but it won’t break if you chop into a Chicken carcass using the root.Blade height is 45mm (1-3/4 inches). The bolster-less blade can be sharpened over the entire length. It is exceptionally finished including an interesting, intricate design on the single, large rivet. The large, curved handle fits in the hand very comfortably and it’s a handle-heavy design with the balance point far enough up the handle so when it is gripped the balance is in the center of your hand for precise manipulation and fine slicing. It is beautifully finished and NSF certified. It come nicely boxed and presents well, so would make a very nice gift.

Chic and classic design, affordable
This kind of chef’s knife is one of the essentials in any kitchen. This particular one is made of alloy steel, german, handcrafted, is a complete solid piece (except for the black covers for grip), well designed, ergonomic, not heavy at hand, can be use in a variety of task and routines in the kitchen, is very sharp, with a mosaic rivet as signature, comes with a lifetime warranty and it is affordable, when compared to others with similar features. If I may say, for the same quality of this one, there are others very pricey. This one will be a great addition to any kitchen cookware. I did a test with some nuts, and with only one hand (the other in the iPhone camera), did the works and I chopped the walnuts with minimal effort (video). This knife is beautiful and I know I will use it a lot. It will pair with any other knife in the kitchen, because it looks great in any decoration. Looks chic, neat, at same time classic, and looks more expensive than it is. I recommended.

good quality
it’s nice is beautiful and I love the detailing on the handle. prior to this knife I used a set of wüsthof and a couple calphalon (santoku and katana) knives. i’ve come to realize that in the kitchen a good knife helps you cook and cut faster and more precise (especially when you are cutting thin) and helps prevent kitchen injuries. this knife does just. It’s very good quality and I love the detailing on the handle. it cuts things like butter (i’m not talking about it cutting butter i’m talking about it cutting onions and potatoes tomatoes and carrots with ease). I think for the price point it’s a very fair price for the quality and a good value overall.

Heavy, but sharp.
This knife is heavier than my other chef knives, but is very sharp! It has become one of the knives I use almost everyday. It fits well in my hand (and I have smaller hands, xs or s gloves). The weight is easy to use, but after I have used this knife for a bit, and then change to a different one that the tip is different I notice a huge difference. Even when I have one board set up for meat and a different one set up for chicken if I am having to do both that the same time, going between the two knives i see a noticeable difference. My 3 chef knives weight, 205g, 171g, and this one is 259g. The spine on this one is much thicker than my other two, so that does make it better in many ways.

Very ergonomic, sturdy, elegant, and sharp knife.
This knife is great for cutting big cuts of meat. It's sturdy enough to not deflect under stronger motions. The handle and weight balance are ergonomic enough to go through many cuts without exhausting your hand. I got this with the white handle, and I think it's very elegantly made. Last of all, it's sharpened well right out of the box - the steel formulation should hold a sharp edge for long lengths of time. Classic blade design also helps makes sure it's a breeze to sharpen when it's due. This is now one of my favorite knives!
