Working Sharp

What a beautiful set of knives. These are helping me continue to make my kitchen truly my own as I swap out some of the dull and dilapidated knives my parents left me and replace them with good quality cutlery like this. They're sharp enough that I've already accidentally cut myself while rinsing the small one off in the sink, that's not a negative against the knives obviously. And it isn't that I'm an idiot; I know about knife safety. It just happens sometimes. But this is really a gorgeous set; the handle inlays flow seamlessly into the metal of the tang. You absolutely cannot discern the seam at all. One thing that I'm unhappy with, I don't blame the knives but I accidentally dinged the edge of the small one with the spine of the large one and it actually put a nick in it. It was just the lightest glancing blow but it was enough to affect the edge. It's very small and hasn't affected performance in any way but I'm still disappointed in myself for allowing that to happen. I don't know if it's a reflection on the softness of the steel, especially since it was the steel of the other knife that caused it. Obviously it should be easy to touch it up with a diamond rod or sharpening stone but that factory edge is so beautiful I don't want to do anything to it right now.These knives feel great in the hand, they are razor sharp, and I'm looking forward to really getting to work with them for my holiday cooking this season.

Great starter set

I'm not going to judge these like I would a professional set of knives. These are affordable and great for a starter set. They feel full tang and come pretty sharp. Seems to hold its edge pretty well despite the affordable price. Feels great in the hand and no rough finishes anywhere on this. Easy to keep control of this when slicing and dicing on the cutting board. Overall pretty happy with the quality for price of these.

These knives are a great addition to my kitchen. I have some favorite knives for different uses and these have moved into that position in my knife collection. They are well balanced and sharp out of the box. The blade covers are great for those that keep their knives in a drawer. The covers help keep the knives from dulling from hitting other items in the drawer as well as protecting your fingers! If you are looking for smaller knives to add to your knife collection, then these are definitely ones to consider. Good knives are always more expensive and these are a good value for the money.

Nice Starter Knife Set, Especially for Beginners

This 2-piece starter knife set is fairly nice overall. The construction feels solid, and both knives arrive impressively sharp. It’s smaller and lighter than a typical chef’s knife, almost like a “lite” version. While this makes it great for more precise tasks or for those with smaller hands, it doesn’t quite meet the expectations of a larger, heavier workhorse blade. That said, it balances well and performs fine for lighter kitchen tasks during dinner prep.One thing to note is the edge retention. Both knives start off sharp, but the chef’s knife, in particular, seems to wear down more quickly than I’d like. It does sharpen well, but I’ve used other knives that hold their edge longer with similar use.Overall, this set is a solid choice for someone just starting out—perhaps moving into their first place—who wants a step up from basic, store-brand knives. While I don’t reach for the chef’s knife as often, the paring knife has become a regular in my rotation. Recommended as a good starter set for the price!
