I needed a new serrated knife primarily for cutting bread. I was surprised how nice the knife looks. It has a nice weight to it and cuts really well. I only used it for bread which is what I got it for but it cuts effortlessly. My dad was down to visit and I showed him the knife and he too was impressed with the quality and few. I think I'm going to get a lot of looks when friends are visiting and I use this in the kitchen!
While this knife has a Japanese appearance and markings and it says it is made from German steel it is in fact made in China. I have several Chinese knives and they are all pretty good. We are planning to keep this one in our new travel trailer. The knife is solid and well balanced. I particularly like the handle. A decent knife for a decent price.
A good quality knife can't be underestimated in the kitchen and this knife is excellent.It is sharp and cuts well. It is easy to maintain and looks really nice. It has an understated elegant look with it's beautiful handle. The handle is super comfortable to hold and while it is very smooth, the knife still indexes well and doesn't slide around in my hand when I am using it.
This knife cuts very smoothly, and you don't need much force behind it. It seems to feel well balanced in the right areas to be able to do most of the work for you through the weight of the knife. So whether it's bread, fruits or vegetables, this thing can glide through it very easily.
I was using a cheap bread knife and thought, how much better could it get? Then I got this knife and thought WOW! This knife cuts through bread so smoothly. And as a bonus, you can also use it to cut through fruit or really anything that you don’t want to crumble. I make gyeran-mari (egg roll ups) and I used this knife without any of the veggies coming out. The knife itself is heavy and fits nicely in my hand. It’s a bit pricey for one bread knife, but totally worth it!
What I love about this 8 inch bread knife is that it is very durable, sharp and super sturdy. This knife is handcrafted and is made of forged German steel and can cut through bread with such ease and I just love it. This bread knife is very pretty as well with the white strong handle. I have had several bread knives in my lifetime and this is up there as one of the best. This knife also makes an amazing gift as it comes right from the warehouse gift giving ready. I would definitely recommend this knife hands down.
This is one of the finest knives I have ever owned. The look is stellar and impeccable. It is balanced perfectly. I am impressed with the material and workmanship.
