I love this knife!

I'm 71 years old and have spent the majority of my life using substandard, pitiful excuses for knives when attempting to cook. I honestly didn't know what I was missing out on because I had never owned a really good, sharp knife before. Well, at my advanced age, I finally had had enough, and decided that investing in some knives that were actually sharp enough to cut was not only a possibility, but a darned good idea! This boning knife was the second truly good, really sharp knife that I have purchased and I consider it a fine investment. I find myself reaching for it for cutting up veggies, butterflying chicken breasts, and many other cooking/kitchen tasks. The blade is wickedly sharp, so there is a steep learning curve attached to its use, but it's well worth it. It's a full tang knife, has a good heft and weight, is well balanced, and just feels good in the hand. The blade is a good length for accomplishing many cutting/slicing tasks, but isn't good for chopping. I keep it in a knife block so the blade edge and point are protected. This boning knife is a joy to use, but I would caution parents to keep their children away from it because of the extremely sharp edge. I highly recommend this boning knife. You won't regret buying it. I certainly haven't!

A quality tool.

This is certainly a nice knife. The weight is nicely balanced, the blade has a nice flowing shape, and the handle is comfortable to hold for periods of time without tiring.For a boning knife I like the blade to have a bit more flexibility to get in and follow close to the bone. The blade arrives in a nicely sharpened condition. I ran some trails on the blade and it kept its edge well. So far I have not had to sharpen the blade, only give it minor honing from time to time. That is pretty good steelOverall, this is a quality tool. It won't be the boning replacement in my knife roll, but it will find good use in my home kitchen.

Great knife!

This is a great boning knife! is had nice about of flex to it, it is also made of X50CrMoV15 witch is a great kitchen knife steel, as it has great edge retention as well as being very corrosion resistant and for kitchen knives that a big plus! All in all this is a very sharp very comfortable knife to use and dose great when it comes to slicing thought larger slabs of meet.

Sharp? Oh you bet. Really well made, balanced, handle feels nice and no hot spots.

Sharp edge and tip with a really nice sweep and curve to the blade edge. Cuts with ease and very little friction if you use the sweep to the blade. The knife is weighted well but its very light overall so very easy to cut with. The handle is very smooth and the whole blade and handle is really well made, no gaps or loose bits and there are no hot spots on the handle, its very comfortable to hold and use. Very sharp

This 6" boning knife is well-engineered. We use it on some fruits and vegetables, but more particularly for trimming fat and skin on roasts, pork chops, etc. It slices effortlessly through everything.Besides being very sharp, it is also well-balanced. I don't have to worry about it slipping out of my hand due to it being top heavy or vice versa.Per the stamp and description, this is a German steel product. That includes the handle as well. It should provide many years of use in the kitchen.
