These are truly beautiful knives, but more important than that, they are super sharp straight from the manufacturer, feel great and balanced in use, and therefore cut effortlessly and cleanly. The two sizes are very useful for the majority of kitchen tasks. Great wedding or housewarming gift!

Attractive knives that are quite heavy

these things are heavy. The balance is pretty good for how heavy they are but I have other knives of these sizes that are easier to balance and easier to use overextended periods of time. The blades themselves are quite pretty. They have an attractive Damascus look to them and cut fairly well. The blue coloring of the handles is striking but the polished metal end of the handle I’ll show off that coloring when it’s in the block.It comes with a blue box for gifting I suppose. I can’t imagine I’ll keep the blue box since the blades will reside in a block with other knives. The blade themselves come separately wrapped with plastic safeties over the tips and a paper guard over the blades. They are separate from the blue presentation box, so if these are a gift I would open everything and place the blades into the blue box and then wrap it as a gift.
