Cuts like butter

This is my first Cangshan knife and it's a fantastic carving knife set. Out of the box it is very sharp, knife feels balanced and easy to hold, including the carving fork. But I did notice that the carving fork prongs looked uneven so I had to bend it to even out. My first test was on a pork shoulder and it was very easy to slice the meat. The knife cut was smooth and literally felt like slicing butter. And even though the fork was a bit thicker than I expected I had no issues with the fork holding meat while slicing. Compared to other knives like Wusthof, this Cangshan pair is a bit heavier but still felt very good in hand. The handle is smooth and easy to hold and grip while slicing and does not feel like a burden to hold. Quality looks to be very good and even. Not bulky and heavy but not light either. Overall, great carving knife set by Cangshan that I look forward to using.

A New Family Tradition

With this years Thanksgiving turkey and the Christmas prime rib, it was decided we needed a new elegant craving set. I found this one on Amazon. The set looks nice and works great. Good Carving Set

This is a nice carving set. The knife is good and sharp and the fork does a good job of holding the meat in place. Used this on a whole chicken recently and it worked great. Imagine it will come in handy for roasts, turkey, briskets, etc. Should make Thanksgiving turkey carving a breeze. Don't love the handles so took off one star, but that is a personal preference. They are not bad handles, just don't seem to feel right in my hands.

Nice set

A high quality and nicely made carving set. Good instructions for proper care and maintenance. It is so important to never put quality knives in the dishwasher and to keep them clean and dry. Not sure I like the handles - thus the 4 stars. They feel slippery to me and I would prefer a bit of texture to the grip. But that is my opinion. All in all, a nice product.

Great quality, sharp out of the box and balanced / comfortable knife!

The Cangshan knives have great quality, this is my 2nd knife from them and I have not been disappointed yet. I didn't have anything to carve yet, so I utilized it to trim my pork shoulder that was going on my smoker. This knife sliced through it wonderfully, it was easy to adjust for smaller or larger trim cuts. The knife is balanced and therefore is quite comfortable and easy to maneuver.The only two cons that I have about my order are quite small:1. My box was damaged which normally I would not have kept or used but this leads to #2.2. Many of Cangshan's other knifes have a separate wooden holder for the knife, in this case, #1 would never have been an issue.Overall, I recommend this knife, but I do hope that in the future Chagshan will include a wooden holder with the magnets that keep the blade nicely suspended.

Razor Sharp

These are very nice looking and well balanced tools. The fork is extremely sharp points and the knife is razor sharp. Every knife manufacturer claims its knives are sharp but this one actually is. I’m anxious to see how long it will hold an edge. They are both easy to hold in your hand and have some weight to them so they feel high-quality. Very happy so far.

Nice balance - good cut

Always hard in a review knowing how long things will last when you haven't had it long -- but this set feels well made. The balance of the blade is good; it holds in a nice neutral position when held normally. This helps with both precision and reducing fatigue.The edge has a good sharpness that cuts well. No issues while preparing dinner. The fork has a relatively long 6" length, and easily holds the meat as you work.Overall, I'm very happy with this knife. Will it maintain its edge? Time will tell (and I'll be back if it doesn't!) As with all decent knives, treat it well -- clean it as soon as reasonable, and make sure it's nice and dry when you store it. With that, you should get a lot of life out of it.
