I have over a dozen Cangshan knives in my collection, and love every single one of them. This Naka 12" butcher knife is wicked sharp. I chose it for times when I just didn't want to pull out my deli slicer, and it has not disappointed. Keep in mind, it's a long knife, and depending where you want to store it, you may want to measure the depth of your drawer first. Overall, the craftsmanship is only rivaled by the performance. If you're looking for a great butcher knife, this is definitely worth your consideration.

I have 4 of the Cangshan NAKA series knives and, like the others, which I have praised, this slicer is worthy of great praise, as well.Fit and finish is just about perfect. It arrived very sharp. The steel/alloy is very good. And it is a very distinctive, attractive knife.All of those attributes apply to all the Cangshan knives I have, but to this one:I've used this on smoked brisket and found it to be well balanced. It feels like an extension of the arm. There is no deflection and it draws back straight as an arrow. Thin slices are easy to achieve.Someday, I'll have all the knives in the NAKA series and, until then, I'll happily use the ones I have and continue to recommend them to my friends. I'd say, at this point, I'm definitely a fanboy.5 stars. Great knife at a reasonable price.
Excellent. I've been missing a good butcher knife in my collection, and this thing fills that gap perfectly. The edge is incredibly sharp, perfect for slicing steak for serving, and it's even good for finely slicing chicken breast for sandwiches.I do feel, however, that I have to be very careful with this knife. For slicing cooked meat I need a good grip on the handle for confident cuts, and I'm a little hesitant with this knife as it seems too easy for my hand to slip down toward the blade. It hasn't happened yet, but I just get that impression.Overall, though, it's worth the five stars. This is a great looking, incredibly sharp and very well made knife.
This is a high quality, good looking, and VERY sharp knife!It has the perfect amount of flex and would be perfect for carving a large piece of meat, such as a rib roast, or even removing the breasts on a turkey. I only gave it 4 stars because the handle is very smooth and can a little difficult to grasp while carving. Having a rougher texture on the handle or "finger notches" would eliminate this issue.Overall....thumbs up!
