Solid, comfortable and damned sharp!

We bought this set after purchasing the matching set of Cangshan straight edge steak knives. We were so impressed with the steak knives that my husband decided we needed to upgrade his cooking knives. These replaced a set of high end Wustof german steel kitchen knives and we are beyond satisfied. This is an excellent set. The block is solid, functional and beautiful. The knives are solid, one piece construction so there are no handles to disintegrate over time. They are comfortable with zero user fatigue and balanced heft. Edges are immaculate and, while we haven't had them long, we are comfortable they will retain their edges for a long time. Due to the quality forging we will be able to have them re-honed if it is ever necessary but imagine that it would be years in the future with appropriate use and care. Worth every penny!

They do not honor warranty

I received this as a gift. Despite a "no hassle life time" warranty, when it snapped in half, the manufacturer refused to honor the warranty. I have owned knifes for fifty years and have never had a new knife fail like this. Their refusal to honor their warranty is shameful and there are equally good products with better customer service
