I just started canning jam, and this was a must. It makes it very easy to put jars in and take them out of the water. Worth the money for the ease and added safety of not splashing boiling water on myself.
Perfect size
Not as tall as I thought it would be
These work exactly as intended in the standard 5 gallon stock pot we've had for decades. The wires keep the boiling water bubbles from tipping the canning jars and make it easy to immerse half a dozen jars at a time, easily, quickly, and without burning my fingers. The jar snagger does a great job of getting them out when everything's hot with good, insulated handles and grippy rubber jaws that make it so much easier to can.
This performs adequately, but you can’t pull the jars out by the rack because the handles are too short.
These two items make canning much easier!
This rack does not fit 7 quart jars. There is almost enough space for the 7th jar but not enough so you end up with empty space. Every canning rack I have ever used fits 7 no problem. I wish I did not purchase this.
