This is an excellent carafe. Looks posh with the wooden handle and really keeps liquids hot for 12 hours - or more. I use it for hot tea while camping. I could boil water at night, fill it up, and it would still be boiling hot in the morning. But the less liquid inside, the faster it cools. But that’s pretty basic carafe science. It also keeps things cold, it’s easy to use, and easy to clean.
Kept coffee hot for so long! We filled it with hot water first to warm the inside. Then added freshly brewed coffee and it's stayed hot for hours. Excellent buy. Don't hesitate, worth the price.

Works well. I am keeping BUT, it was not really level on the bottom. Luckily the bottom is a soft material, so not a huge deal, but I would have returned if I was gifting it.

Upon opening the package it was clear that the carafes had been used. Both had rings of mold growing in them, streaks of an unknown origin, and coffee stains around the lids—thus, the 1-star rating. I contacted Amazon immediately and subsequently returned them (with a note attached indicating such and not to resell). — I had ordered this set for a ladies brunch. They have an upscale look and quality feel—very attractive. felt sturdy, and were a good size. However, we were not able to use them. Since I wasn’t able to order another set that would get here in time for our brunch (even though I explained to Amazon customer service and asked if they could arrange an overnight FedEx type delivery which they said they couldn’t do) I can’t objectively recommend. It was a huge disappointment and I don’t know whether this quality assurance issue resides with the seller or Amazon. Note that some other carafe sets advertised on Amazon come with cleaning brushes, however, this set does not—if that matters. It pains me to give the 1-star but what would you do?
