I purchased this for my wife, who selected the size and color. She just told me the other night how much she loves cooking in it. I cannot say much as I am not a cook. It was pricey, but I think it is worth it based on the meals I have enjoyed.
Perfect Braiser to complement my Caraway Cookware set. I’ve made perfect stews and roasts so far.
Love this pot, but it is heavy, just like a large cast iron skillet. The pot is a bit pricey though, I wouldn't buy another one but I am keeping this one.

My wife does a lot of cooking and has been looking for a quality cast iron braiser.The Good:- The braiser pan is made of quality cast iron and enamel material. It is a heavy pan but not too heavy given the size.- The pan is not terribly large. It's the perfect size for a side dish for a large family or a main dish for a family of 3-4.- The pan heats up well in the oven.- The lid fits securely to prevent food from drying out. The lid handle gets hot in the oven so make sure you use a potholder to take the lid off.- The Light Mist color is a pleasant color for cookware and different from the typical enamel cast iron pans that are red or blue. The pan is black on the inside, which makes cooking stains less visible.- The inside coating of the pan acts somewhat like a non-stick material.The Bad:- Biggest Complaint: The bottom of the pan is a rough material that feels like sandpaper. We are careful when moving the pan around on the counter, oven, stove top, or cupboard so it doesn't scratch those surfaces. I wish the bottom was a smooth enamel like the rest of the pan.Overall, it is a very nice product and would be nearly perfect if not for the bottom's surface.
